Default Mac Boot Camp for Windows

    Greetings,

I posted this in another forum, but I think this is a better place to post this. I am on the verge of doing this tonight when I get home, I thought I would try to get more info on it and this is a perfect place.

I had no idea until just now that you can run windows on a Mac. I recently recieved an iMac and I was thinking to my self the other day how great it would be to play MTWII on it, because it is way more powerful than my PC. I would like to play MTWII as it is meant to be played, and unfortunately when I play it on my PC, every last little thing is on the lowest setting. I could always get a new PC, but funds do not allow that. I have an iMac because I need it for school. Anyhow, I am going to try to install Windows on my iMac. Is ther anything I should be wary about? Thanks in advance for any and all responses.

    Respectfully,
    morrisonicus

Is your iMac an Intel one? You need an iMac with an Intel processor to install Windows. The only thing I could think of is the potential that your HD might be wiped if Bootcamp needs to partition it and something goes wrong. But other than that I think it's safe.

    Thank you for your response.
I do have an Intel iMac and I downloaded boot camp last night. It has a default partition of 32 GB and is real easy to install. It works great, well except for the fact the mouse for my iMac doesn't have a right click button and there is not a short cut for it on the keyboard. I tried to search a bit last night to find how I can remedy this, but it was getting late. I am going to try again today and if I can not find an answer, I suppose I'll just have to buy a new mouse.

    Thanks again,

Yup - just get a new mouse - Mac mice are gruesome (even when working under os x). BTW - does ctrl-click not work under windows?

Unfortunately, it does not. I've tried every combination that I thought it might be and nothing. I've tried searching the net and still, nothing. I think I read somewhere that the apple key on the right hand side of the keyboard combined with the click is suppose to work, but it doesn't for me. Can I buy any mouse with a usb plug and still have it work on my iMac?

Edit: I just went at lunch and bought a mouse and it works just fine. Thanks.
