Turn off swaying trees in campaign map?
As the title says: is there a way to turn off the swaying of the trees on the campaign map. I think it uses up CPU resources and its not needed.

Re: Turn off swaying trees in campaign map?
Hi dim, i think it is possible and mentioned somewhere before. However, i have no idea how to go about it, since i'm no texture editing expert.
sorry

There's a helpful thread here which describes/lists many of the cfg options available to us.
You may want to pay special attention to the Video options;
vegetation
terrain_quality
vegetation_quality
I think these mainly deal with settings during a battle, but something here has got to affect the campaign map.

Re: Turn off swaying trees in campaign map?
I'm going to necro this.
I'm playing a mod that adds an obscene number of trees on the campaign map, all of them swaying is causing massive drops in FPS. I would very much like it if their animation would cease, but I could not find the solution in the cfg thread that was posted, and I still have hopes that Kelvin might be remembering something was real.
Has any progress been made on this?
