Best way to play sicily

hi guys, in 1453, whats the best way to go when playing sicily? whats their strength and weaknesses?

They are probably one of the strongest states in italy, and unlike the other powerful italian states, all its territory is contiguous.

With them I go after the Papal States first. The first war, if they wont accept vassalization, i have them release Avignon as a independent state so I dont have to go through france to get 100% war score.

I just drive north, its a sound tactic. Usually I try to DOW and take vassalization and diplo annex them 10 years later. You need to make sure that if you do this you have low BB, but if your just vassalizing you should.
