Full New Factions List

This is a new factions list that will be featured in the mod.The new factions are coming up fast.Principality of Wallachia had been completed.Here are the other new factions that will take place in CAE:


1-The Teutonic Order
2-Kingdom of Jerusalem
3-Shahdom of Khwarezm
4-Principality of Wallachia
5-Grand Duchy of Lithuania
6-Kingdom of Georgia
7-Caliphate of Abbasids
8-Kingdom of Sweden
9-Latin Empire(4th Crusade Crusaders)

RED:New factions that have already been released and that already takes place within the mod.
BLUE:New factions that are completed or in progress and waiting to be released.
BLACK:New factions that will definetely take place in the mod.
No Colour:New factions that are not certain whether they will be featured or not.

Cool- but might I suggest Flanders as a faction? just a suggestion

also an emerging swiss faction would be nice- but I understand that there are limits as to the number of factions avaliable.

Thank you for the suggestions Axeman,as you also say unfortunately there is a faction limit.For now the ones that I posted are what I have in mind.

very good see in list Georgia, I already opened topic about Georgian faction and in future, if some other materials will be necessary, I will put there all stuff.

I like some of the ones on the list but it seems there is too much focus on the east. With Georgia, byzantium, cumans, russia(depending on where it expands), abbassids, turks, crusaders, kwarazm and Egypt(depending on where it expands) I am just guessing the east will be filled. In my opinion, I would add a faction to the west so the map is balanced. Ireland wasnt too important and was isolated so I wouldnt consider it much of a western faciton.

Wallachia seems really good. I really like them and think they would be great in fighting the Hungarians and byzantines.

I believe Georgia would be an interesting choice that they are an Orthodox faction on the East near the Caspian Sea.And Ireland would make the British Isles more competetetive,as well as would provide perphaps a better challenge for England players,as well as may add a bit of flavour to the Island..

When we observe the vanilla map there are already lots of factions in the west.You are right about the Caliphate of the Abbasids,though the area(middle-east) considering later on the game the mongols and the timurids will invade too. may get too crowded,unless I extend the map.

The starting place of the Cumans will be Caffa,as the Cumans in the East were usually called Kypchaks and the lands they ruled were different then the Cumans.(actually as you also know they are the same) I actually plan them as emergant,but not sure whether it will be worth or not whether to spare 1 faction slot for them..
Do you have any faction/s suggestion as a western faction?

burgundy-powerful,important, extremely unique(best feature), and balance out hre,france, and milan
genoa-unique,important,counter venician power(always a problem)
sweden-powerful,unique,counter russia and denmark

There are others but they wouldnt be as fun.

You're welcome Afrisco.You know saying someone something like "do it yourself" is kind of a devious way to imply one's weakness about a certain aspect of life.For instance I may be a good scripter,but I may not be a good designer.So when I tell or request from someone that has good skill about textures/graphics,and tell my opinion about his work he designed for me,if he says "if you don't like do it yourself".That's all around negativity and immaturity because he's damn-well know that I CAN NOT do it myself.

I mean no offense,maybe you are able to create new factions by yourself,but I'd never use such a phrase as "do it yourself"..
The western factions you named I'm all aware of them.For instance,by saying Burgundy being extremely unique you probably mean new meshes for the units,I'm all up for uniqueness,I try to provide it the best as I can in terms of unit descriptions,names even faction strength and weaknesses.But to be honest,about the graphical support I haven't mastered mesh converter just yet.
Another person had mentioned Sweden,like yourself.Note that there are too many Christian-western factions by default.However,your list is nice,no promises but thank you and note that I'm taking all suggestions to consideration.

I'd scrap Ireland and put in Aragon for sure, Aragon was far more influential and important. For the other two I'd put in Burgundy and Armenia, both would be unique and squeezed between a lot of powerful civs, making for a fun game.

By saying Aragon if you are referring to the Portuguese,the Portuguese can be converted to Aragon with additions and this way it doesn't use up a new faction slot.

Ummm... Aragon is not Portugal. Aragon was a Spanish kingdom situated on the cities of Zaragoza, Huesca, and Barcelona.

If you are saying that you dont want similar factions culturally then I really cant think of a faction to add. Maybe Croatia? Thats the best i could think of.

If you are talking about the western factions,unfortunately we have such a problem at the Era the game features..The medieval western county,duchies and Kingdoms kind of originated from give or take the same ethnicity.

Another example for the Eastern factions:

This would also using up an extra slot creating give or take 2 different themes with less uniqueness.
However,the factions that are posted below have no such bonds or similarities so it's logical to use up faction slots for them:

An example Duchassy of Burgundy and Kingdom of France.It's like creating another French faction.
Another example for the Eastern factions:

I agree completely. Unfortunately the only faction with any merit that comes to my mind is still the Kingdom of Armenia. Croatia could be good too, but historically at this time weren't they about to collapse?

Ah..You have a good point.Forgot to mention that how the factions fared and their merit and importances,their size also important for featuring.
I am not sure about Croatia's status at that time.I'm truly confused about the full faction list.
