Vista problem?

I was wondering if anyone could help me.

I have just got a new pc with windows vista home premium and i am trying to change the timescale and unlock the all the factions in the way described in the MTW2 forum. (By altering the descr_strat file)

However, it won't let me save the file once i have made my alterations. It says 'cannot create the file...check path and file name are correct'.

I have definately uncheked the read only box and someone has told me it could be due to vista security settings or something...anyone got any ideas?

You should probably ask in the technical help centre as well - people are more likely to have had the problem there.

It's very simple. Your files are just 'Read Only', so if you want to do something first uncheck this box. Later check the properties of the whole Medieval2 folder, and after this check properties of Program Files folder. So the easiest way is copy this file to, say documents folder, change all necessary things, save it, and copied back to M2TW folder.
