Anyway to modify to allow saving during battles?

As the topic says, is there anyway for me to modify the mod to allow saving during battles? I know it allows for saving-loading to fix mistakes, but I really just want it for when I need to leave mid battle.

With battles that last for hours, it sucks that I can't just come play the game for a half-hour at a time (unless, of course, I want to completely avoid battles and just play on the campaign map - buts thats no fun

Sorry that's not the kind of thing you can change with a mod.
If you want to play half-hour a time, a cheap solution (if the computer is yours) would be to put the game in pause mode when you have to go, and resume normal speed when you come back. On the meanwhile, if someone has to use the pc you can just go back to the desktop, leaving the game in background (paused): CTRL+ESC.

You may need to play another mod. RTR and EB are great mods to play a Slow game with Faster battles.

Thing is, I love the long, epic battles. I just don't like when I start one, get halfway through, and then have to leave the computer for whatever reason and start all over when I come back.

It's a convenience issue, not stylistic.

I'd recommend you allow yourself at least half an hour before starting a new battle or otherwise just save the campaign go to your business and then come back to fight the scum

Nothing can be done, Long battles are long battles, there is no save in battles. CA made 5 minute battles I made 30min-1hour battles. ;-)
