Re: How to Edit Battle result ?
Let's start with the gate banners. Go and make yourself a folder called "symbols pack" somewhere. It can be in My Documents or anywhere, not in the Rome - Total War directory. We are just going to use this folder as part of the process of making a pak.
Now, make another folder inside this one, this time named "patch_1" (without the quote marks of course). inside this make a folder called "data", then another inside this one called "models_building". Finally put a folder called "textures" into this folder. So the full path to the textures folder should be: "symbols pack\patch_1\data\models_building\textures". In here we will put the graphics for the gate banners.
Now comes the nice easy bit. Go to your Rome - Total War folder and go to data\models\textures. Find the file called standard_egypt.tga.dds - this is one of the files you modified earlier. Copy this file and paste it into your new "symbols pack\patch_\data\models_building\textures" folder. Done! Now you have your gate banners ready, but they won't appear in the game until we put them in a .pak file. We'll do that later because we want the campaign map buttons to go in the same file.
To unpack and repack the .pak files you will need Vercingetorix's Xpak program, you should be able to find a link to it somewhere here at the twc Once you have it, make yourself another folder somwhere and call it "unpacked UI" or something like that. Move or copy the xpak.bat and xpak.exe files into this folder. Now go into Rome - Total War\data\packs and find the file called ui_1.pak. Copy this large file into your new "unpacked UI" folder that has the xpak program in it.
Now run the copy of xpak.bat you put in this folder. You should get a Command Prompt window pop up as xpak gets to work. Eventually it will finish unpacking the file and say "press any key to exit", so just press any key and it'll disappear. You now have a new folder inside your "unpacked UI" folder called "DATA". Inside here are all the files that were in ui_1.pak. AFTER making SURE you still have a copy of ui_1.pak in your Rome - Total War\data\packs directory, you can now delete the copy of it in your "unpacked UI" folder, leaving just the unpacked files in there.
Remember the folder "symbols pack" that you created earlier on? Go back to there, and inside the "patch_1\data" folder, create a new folder called "ui". Inside this, create a folder called "roman". Inside this, create a folder called "interface". So the full path to the interface folder should be: "symbols pack\patch_1\data\ui\roman\interface".
Next, go back to your "unpacked UI" folder and into the "DATA" folder inside it. Navigate to UI\Roman\interface. Find a file called sharedpage_01.tga and another called stratpage_02.tga. Copy these into the "patch_1\data\ui\roman\interface" folder inside your "symbols pack" folder.
Once they are in place, edit them and replace all instances of the Egypt symbol with your new faction symbol.
there u go i think that is what u mean
