    Default Linux

I'm kind of bored this weekend so I dug up an old 20 Gig HD and decided to hook it up and try Linux on it. Now I don't know which Linux to choose. I've narrowed it down to Fedora and Ubuntu. I've looked at both of them and I have a question, why is Ubuntu only 700 MB while Fedora is around 4 GB? What am I missing in Ubuntu that's in Fedora? And if you have a better recommendation then I want to hear it.

Ubuntu 7.04 is my choice as number 1 Linux reason (for hardware drives and simple) i assume its smaller because it does only have small selection of software and over 21,000 downloads are online in "packages"

Heard Mandriva is a good choice, its very similar to Windows by the appearance
