Anyone pick it up? I'm considering it. Got a 9.3 on 1up and looks very interesting, plus it's from 2K.
I thought it was coming out in August.
definitely gonna get this one system shock 2 one of the coolest games of all timesssss --- it promises to be a very interesting very immersive game with a good plot and well done powers/enemies--if system shock 2 is any indicator
Fitz Salnarville, Duke William's favourite knyghte,
To noble Edelwarde his life dyd yielde;
Withe hys tylte launce hee stroke with thilk a myghte,
The Norman's bowels steemde upon the feeld.
Old Salnarville beheld hys son lie ded, 235
Against Erie Edelward his bowe-strynge drewe;
But Harold at one blowe made tweine his head;
He dy'd before the poignant arrowe flew.
So was the hope of all the issue gone,
And in one battle fell the sire and son.
I'll buy, been waiting for it since the first screen.
I'm interested, but I want to see a good flow of reviews before I buy it. I recently read a preview of it, and while it's not finished and I know it, it seems the game has a slight possibility of screwing up the potential and becoming an average shooter, but it may turn out quite good, too. We'll see.
For all that I read about it, I think I'm gonna get it for being so different alone. The whole setting, the story, the characters and possibilities, it looks all so far out that I just have to check it out for myself.

Well, basically you need a new pc for this. So...This was expected though. I think that the atmosphere will be quite different if playing on lowest settings possible.
Or get it on X360, but I'm not that sure how exactly these two versions will be different from each other (graphics and gameplay).
"What? Huh? Oil? Who said something about oil, ***** you cooking?"
"The United States of Space, coz I ain’t stopping at the Moon. Write this down, M… A… R… S… MARS *****es. That’s where we are going, Mars, red rocks!"
Got it on pre-order...my PC is the Recommended Specs basically (Which is funnily enough top of the freaking line).
Great, I'll be getting my new PC in time for this! (IE, I will definately buy this!)
dammit, I won't be able to play until I finally decide to pick out some parts and build a new thing.
It seems like, all these new games (crysis, bioshock) are forcing all of us to update our computers. 2 Years ago, my PC was top of the line, played everything i threw at it. Since then I updated my memory and my CPU and graphics card and yet now i'm not qualified to play the newest games this year.
I'll tell you a hint: this is my 4th computer (I built them all except the first) and I had to replace each of them 3 years of usage. Get used to it or fall behind.
I will probably update around october, or even later. I need $.
Pfft, I can't play a FPS on a console, besides I'm not spending money on any more consoles, anything interesting on the 360 will be on computer.
In Australia, if you place a $20 pre-order with EB, you get $20 off the total price. Seems like a good deal to me.
As for System Shock 2, try dosbox maybe?
