okay I've been working a full day on the mod now (plus a few days of learning...) and I want to contribute it to you of course.
however I'm not sure if anybody's interested in this mod at all...
it's a mod which replaced Parthia with the Persians as playable faction in both imperial campaign (renamed of course, to prevent file loss) and custom battles.
I've completely replaced the unit roster of Parthia with the one from the Alexander addon. I've taken the models and visual stuff all from that addon for two reasons. 1. I wanted it to look professional and good 2. I'm not a designer.
the building tree was changed as well of course, however I've tried to keep it as balanced and logical as possible. but then again I'm not a rome pro, actually I know little about the fine gameplay balancing stuff.
so for legal matters I think you're only allowed to use the mod if you own the Alexander addon. but that's up to you I guess (if I'm wrong please correct me).
the mod is at ~90%, means all the data is there and works so far, but I'll have to start intense beta testing now and setting up a package of the mod for others to use.
I've got a few screenshots so far for you. the battle screenies are for pure demonstration, don't be shocked by the differences in unit numbers...

if you'd be so kind and respond in this thread about whether you have interest in this mod or not because if nobody wants it I'm not gonna release it. getting the mod ready for releasing is quite some work you know
oh and if you care some of the units you can see are:
persian infantry, persian slingers, persian immortals, persian war elephants, syrian cavalry, heavy bactrian cavalry, barcanian cavalry, scythian mounted archers, and many more.
