2. homosexuals have been looked down upon in civilizations throughout history. There are only a handful of civilizations where they were fully accepted and treated the same as everyone else (namingly the greeks).

By saying "wouldn't the world be better without [insert any religious or ethnic group here]", you are demonstrating a degree of prejudice towards that group. You can't blame an entire religious or cultural group for the worlds problems. To do so shows immaturity. In any case, I think what needs to be said is that the world would be a much better place without backwards thinking, intolerant and hateful people (such as religious extremists).

Well, if one of the worlds problems is a lack of education, and there is a religon that is intrinsically against education and is followed by a large number of people, then that religion would be partially responsible for the problem.
