Hey everyone. I've been playing this game with SS for a while on VH/VH. Now my thinking is that on VH campaign difficulty the diplomacy would be more realistic or so. But with 1 year per turn, year 1156 with Turks I just started to wonder... what difficulty has the best diplomacy and at that the best challenge?
For instance on my current campaign some anomolies have popped up:
Templars and Egypt are allies (this happens every campaign or at least they ceasefire by turn 4 or so- very predictable)
I declare a jihad on a templar city, Antioch, templars are a vassal of egypt; instead of breaking its alliance with a christian faction... in the middle of a jihad the egyptians break their alliance with ME a fellow Islamic faction in favor of Templars... that made little sense to me. Also my relations with the world seemd to go to abysmal overnight though I suppose jihadding a christian faction will do that..
Also I am deemed very untrustworthy right now for some reason.. I heard it was because you execute prisoners that your rep is lowered which doesnt make sense I mean... according to my logic.. you can trust me to execute your soldiers.. duh.. lol. So what can I do to get that back up? I stick to ransoming now, all my enemies seem to be cold hearted enough to compensate now.
-Thanks.
P.S. do AI factions hold grudges for certain cities that you took from them? I took Nicosia from the Byzantines at the height of my war with them and ever since then they have sent massive army after army to be vanquished at its triple layered walls... it is under seige now.. For The FIFTH Time...I find it quite funny although since I am always outnumbered several to one.. having to fight it out on the battle map for 20 minutes each seige is annoying..
