I think you are probably right about this. It was probably a Kurdish or Turkish Emirate with some Armenian converts.

Sicarius, Armenia was the first nation to adopt Christianity.

Are you talking about the Shah-Armen Emirate, which was a Kurdish Emirate based around the Van area?

After the Arab conquest of Armenia, the country was ruled by Ostikans. I guess they're kind of like Emirs. Some of them were ethnic Armenian.

Siciarus, as you can see, we exist to this day. We were in fact the first ones to adopt Christianity as a state religion in 301 AD.

The reason why Armenia is on the shores of the mediterranean in this time period is that Armenian princes fleeing from Byzantine and Seljuk invasions established a state in a more place that they considered more promising.

    sicarius,
You should think of the Kingdom of Armenia in this mod, as sort of a Crusader state. They had close relations with Cyprus and Antioch.

I wouldn't say that, that'll make him think that Armenians in general are Muslim. And anyway, unless you call conquering and vassalizing a close relationship, I don't think Armenia and Antioch were very friendly until Armenia conquered and vassalized it of course. However Cyprus was close with Armenia. Anyway, what you need to know Sicarius is that Armenians were not Muslim, but Armenian Orthodox Christian and still are to this day.

rofl, no offense but this is the most ignorant piece i've read today

Armenians were the first people, first Nation! To adopt christianity. So go and hang yourself before calling armenians muslim. After all those invasions of armenian lands, after all that armenians never gave up their faith.

First, you didn't make clear to whom your post is referred, and second your post is pretty clumsy, and here in this subforum is no place for any nationalistic pride or something like that -the 'no offense' makes no sense if you use such a terminology (bold) in the next moment.

Consider, TWC is full of uneducated pc-game consumers, might be little childs or whatever, who eventually heard about a folk with the name Armenians, and know nothing of ancient history.

OP, read from the chapter Christianized Arsacid Dynasty from this link
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History...rsacid_dynasty

Until the Battle of Manzikert (in 1071) and the descend of the Byzantine Empire's influence and territorial/military power in Eastern Anatolia the people there were mostly Orthodox.
