    Default Great job!

    Ahlan wa salan, Izzayukum?

Been following this for a while, and it's way toooooooo late for me to be up,but I had to post this while I could remember.

I have to say, your mod isn't even out yet and it's already my favorite! no offense to CA, who did a great job, but this mod looks to be a greater quality than Mtw2! The care put in making the units, the research put into designing them, the time taken to research the factions, all show that this mod has been made with a great amount of care and dedication.

I'm not bashing CA in any sense, they have target audiences to appeal to, can't blame them, atleast they try to find a compromise. Regardless though, I'm an orientophile and orientalist =P I've been utterly fascinated with the near/mid east for quite some time, especially the steppe and mountainous regions, so your mod has such a great appeal to me.

I must say, your mod looks to beone that will captivate and enthrall me, making me a slave to my own feeble willpower over my interests.

I will be mostinterested in playing the Ghorids, and some suggestions I have about them areas follows:

-You may wish to rename "lashkar warriors" to just lashkar, I recall that under pashtunwali Lashkar was a large collection of men to enforce tribal, engage in Jihad bis Saif, or engage in larger war. So you may want to simply rename them to Lashkar, as it looks to be a large war party ready to protect Pashtunwai =P

-You may want to make, if you haven't already, Ghazis and Lashkar cheaper as mercs for Jihad bis Saif

-special merc or AoR for afghanistan, a variant of afghan hillmen, maybe the same thing but maybe a smaller unit size, and name it Chigha, the raiding party under Pashtunwali. This would be a great way of showing how tribes will simply arm themselves to raid or fight against bandits ((good for the inevitable brigands?))

-for all Muslim factions perhaps traits for general Jihadi fun? Jihad bis Saif, aside, there are still four other ways to engage in Jihad, Jihad Bil Lisan could be a special imam trait, or for generals and such as Jihad Bil yan, or Jihad bil qalam? when playing EB i loved the trait system, and adding in Jihad couldlead to some fun things, such as Jihad bil Qalam giving a - to movement until the general spends a turn in a town with an academy or something, then he could get a trait that adds a + to piety/influence? or other things for other Jihad?

Sorry if these suggestions seem arrogant or something, but keep up the good work, hell I'd almost say this thing deserves to be an expansion in itself! I know I'll look forward to expressing my passions and love by hunting down the Christian invaders or pushing the turks out of our tribal mountains!.... while not assassinating them, Melmastia mind you! Melmastia!... which thankfully only applies to guests!

again, kudos to Mirage for starting this and all the effort, and kudos to all the team for making this thing so amazing instead of appealing to everyone. By only appealign to a selective audience you have greatly improved your mod and quality, again, the hard work shows off. I cannot tell you in words how pleased I am about this mod, it's a dream come true for someone like me. I'm even trying to get the funds tospend a semester abroad in an intensive arabic and arabic studies course in Egypt or the Maghreb.

Thanks for your support and we're glad to see you're happy with this mod, please do spread the word. Its a unique project with a potentially huge fan-base.

    - The Laskhars are called "Lashkar Tribesmen" which effectively translates to "Tribal Army" and that seems appropriate to us for now.

    - Some of these ghazis will indeed appear as Jihad units, though i'm unsure if we will offer the Laskars since its unique "afghan" unit for the ghorids.

    - A merc warband unit based off the afghan hillmen is very much a possibility and thanks for the unique name - we could use that.

    - Variants of the jihad traits is a cool idea but I wouldn't want to associate learning or academic traits since some new players would naturally assume anything with the word 'jihad' must mean something militaristic.

Once again thanks for taking the time to post here.
