    Default End of Campaign

Despite playing total war games for years, I have rarely completed one. However, this Templar campaign is gripping and doesnt seem to suffer from getting easier as I progress ( the major failing of vanilla and most other mods) so I may stick it out.

Will I get the option to continue playing once the end date is reached or the campign conditions satisfied?

If not, how can I make it continue?

Getting easier as the game goes on? I always find it hard and tedious as the game goes on. I love mid games, early games are eh, and late games are a pain in the ass to play.

I think in the vanilla campaign you do get to continue after the campaign date, not sure about SS but my guess would be yes.

yeah i agree with that late games are boring cos you just end up engaging in a contest of who has the most armies and money with the other great super power of the world and the fruitless war goes on for like 200 years

Yeah, i've got like 25 turns left before my Templar campaign expires. I've conquered from Mecca to Barcelona. Need to take northern europe now!

So does the game ends once you do NOT meet the conditions (take 55 settlements or something in xx turns)?

My guess is that despite whether or not you meet the conditions, you still get to play. Can someone confirm this?

I've played every TW game extensively and I think I've only completed *maybe* 2 campaigns. Not because they're hard, but because your advancement has a snowball effect. Once you get over the early hump of breaking a neighboring faction and acquiring its territories, you just get exponentially more powerful as you take over towns. So I have a habit of quitting my campaigns around mid/late game after I've become a pretty invincible force (usually around 15-20 settlements).

The Templar campaign is a different story though. On H/VH I had to fight tooth and nail to wipe out Egypt. Getting Alexandria, Cairo, Thebes would usually make you an economic powerhouse (thus ending the campaign), but pretty soon I had the Turks and Mongols on top of me, which kept the campaign really fun into the late game.

You can still play once you loose or win the campaign.

    Yes, that's right.
Once I even havn't met the win conditions in 225 turns, but I got the victory video after about 260 turns.
So, I think you can "win" the campaign when you want...
