Does the timetable for FMIR 2nd triumvirate and such still apply? I am really looking forward to leading Sulla.
Unfortunately not![]()
The old FRRE team had a crisis around April of 2006, which led to something close to the end of the project and it being stopped for some months.
When King Arthur, Bucellarii and me started to work together there was almost nothing done in terms of coding so we decided to finish 77 BC - Twilight of the Republic, my personal project, which was fairly advanced. The addition of Anallein to the team and the work of Empedocles helped us to finish this project in good time (from June 2006 to February 2007)
So, to answer your question, our current timetable is the following:
* End June-beggining of July: 77 BC 2. With the removal of some of 77 BC problems and the addition of some new features:
- New strat map models by Riczu74
- New units by King Louise Assurbanipal, King Arthur, LAca and Arbaces
- Client Kingdoms script for some regions and units.
- New Evocati unit (Roman reenlisted veterans), only available via random script
- Added a trait to display the Roman player missions
- A new faction to portray more accurately the revolts of Spartacus and Catilina
- Player formations by Marcus Camillus
- "Call of the Warlord" feature for some Barbarian factions. Now they can also recruit whole stacks in certain settlements
- Some other improvements to the script
* End June-beggining of July: a spin-off campaign of 77 BC 2. It is currently being beta-tested
* In the meantime, Anallein and Bucellarii are working hard on the FMIR new campaign map. Some parts of it are already finished so I might be able to start to code in July. This means that FMIR could be released around September. At least, Marius campaign.
The main problem for the team right now is the lack of a graphic artist to help us with the new units. So far we have been lucky enough to count with King Arthur's art plus the contribution of many artists of this great community. But now, with KA's absence, it is being a bit hard to find some good cimbri and teutonesunits.

Beginning of July? Huzzah! Those features are quite nice. Hopefully the faction for Spartacus will make him move more.
And he will be a harder nut to crack, as some more rebel stacks are going to appear.
