Assassins
I dont normally bother with assassins in TW games but decided to recruit one to get rid of a pesky diplomat in my current Romani game using 0.81v2. He failed numerous times to kill him and has ended up with a -3 agent skill. I have sent him on a tour of europe trying to get him killed by attacking powerful people but even though he fails he always escapes and Im talking about 20-25 attempts. With the frequency my spies get killed Im finding this a bit strange. Its not a big problem of course just curious as to whether hes just very lucky or is it more difficult to kill assassins in EB. He has no traits which would help keep him alive so thats not it.

Re: Assassins
Sounds like you just got a very lucky/unlucky assassin there. EB didn't add anything that should keep him alive when he fails a mission. In fact, I don't know if there is a way to edit the chance of him surviving a failed mission.

Re: Assassins
It is odd how in RTW vanilla and all mods spies die every time they fail whereas assassins often get off scot-free after failing. It seems like, realistically, it should be the other way around.

Re: Assassins
Spies have a bad time of it in EB compared to RTR. Surprised you've never bothered with assassins in TW games, I find knocking off enemy generals an invaluable tool...I got probably a bit too much satisfaction from killing off princesses in MTW too. The sound effect was lovely!!

Re: Assassins
don't you always stack a spy or assassin (or both) with your generals? I do. seems that way, they can never harm me. maybe that's what the AI does as well?? :hmmm:
