What mods are known to be compatible to use together? I know i wanted to use both the mercenaries and the quick build mod. Do they work with every mod?

Welcome to the forums!
Mods are only compatible if they don't have the same files. It sounds the quick build and merceneries mods you describe would be compatible. Look at the files each mod has and determine their compatibilty. If they aren't, well you could always try combining those files. Hope this helps.![]()

can the big map and the order mod work together. I don't know how to combine them since they both have their own installer.

ok. let me rephrase what i think you mean. So i would use winmerge to merge the files that are the same together in one folder. Then copy the ones that are different into that folder and activate the mod from there?
bump.
Yup you got it,
Install each mod to a temp directory, open up each directory and make a note of any files that are being used by both.
Load the files in a comparison utility and review the changes made by both mods, depending on the type of change either combine or replace the code. Save your updated files in a new folder!
Once you have merged all common files create a new folder, 'MyMod' under your M2TW directory. Copy the contents of both temp mod directories, created earlier, to your new MyMod folder. Next copy your custom merged files on top of the rest.
Note: If either mod makes changes within the default data folder please remember to copy them into the default data and not the MyMod folder.
As far as IO switching and cfg files go, I'll let the experts handle that...
