Add Genoa

HI TORNNIGHT!

I think you should necessary add one faction.... THE REPUBLIC OF GENOVA!!
No rebel city but a real faction.... with the capital city and the castle of ajaccio (take a look at "sicilianvespers early era mod ")

I hope it will happen

Sorry. I don't think it's in the books. We only have a limited number of slots for new factions and I already have my work cut out for me.

not even to change milan to genoa?
milan didn't really come into its own until almost the end of the period covered by the game. it is the wars between venice and genoa (often dragging the empire of the romans into it) that really cover up the middle of this period.

While Genoa would be cool, torn is right there are other factions that should be added before.

Plus Milan is already made

and Florence, and possibly Modena. That would rock. Also it would create a warzone in Northern Italy reflecting the times

That would be too much for a mod focusing on a wide region and not specifically Italy.

That would make the number of factions within Italy read: Sicily, Genoa, Venice, Florence, Modena, HRE, Vatican. 7 factions. That's like having that many in England, or Spain, or Asia minor. It's just unnecessary.

yes, i guess you're right. if it was a more focused campaign, like what CA is doing for the expansion...

A bit out of historical concurrence, but you could add in the Sicilian mafia too.

No need to add a faction. No need to add a province. Just add those pop up things with "offer you can't refuse" type deals. Click yes to accept, you gain 20% corruption. Click no to refuse, one of your family members die.
