Default Creatonists open museum in Kentucky

    Greetings,

I saw this on the news this morning and I thought it was quite interesting. The Creation Museum http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070526/us_nm/usa_museum_dc in Kentucky over the weekend. Amongst other things, it shows dinosaurs and humans living together and it shows dinosaurs actually sailing on a life-size version of Noah's ark. I guess the museum is based on the creation writing on the pages of Genisis. I am sure many people out there beleive this is how it went down. Personally, I do not buy that the earth was created 6,000 years ago and I think this museum is a hose job-tourist trap.
Other than that, the article brings up a good point about children going to this museum and then going to school afterwards and questioning what the teacher is teaching. Is that right? What do you all think?

And still I would get suspended if I could say what I really thought about creationists.

They would just take it as an attack on them.

Well atleast it wasn't funded by taxes.
If a guy wanna waste 27 million dollars on a museum then be my guest.
    Personally I think it's amusing.
They are trying so hard not to lose control over people.
First there is ID and now this. What will they think of next ??

And I can safely say you don't know your geography very well.

On topic the sad thing is that the type of people who support taking their kids to this are the type that think Harry Potter is bad for children's minds. Some people really need to rethink their values...

the shaded states are states are considered 'southern' despite the fact they fought for the union. I don't think I'm the one who needs to review my American geography.

Well, you're from Minnesota, safely and securely in the north. Until you live in our region, dwell in our state, and reside in our cities, you are in no position whatsoever to make a judgement or solid statement regarding the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

There is a reason they are stripped, they have very little to do with the South. Unless of course by South you mean below national average in wealth. By that definition they would fit in, but really being impoverished does not mean one is Southern.

sigh.........dinosaurus with humans ......yes i just see a group of men armed with spear chasing a t-rex or a diplodocus
and the idea of some huge dinosaurus in Noah's ark is wonderful
i would like to hear from a creationist what he think of all the archeological sites of more than 6000 years ago and all the bones and fossil around that are millions years old
seriously all the creationism ideas are really funny, it's incredible that a lot of people are actually buying them

If I remember correctly, their answer would be that it was placed by Satan to trick us.

Why should you waste bucks in the outback of Kentucky, if you can get the real thing in the Metropole?

There is a great museum in New York City. I've been there. The dino exposition is one of the better ones, I've seen so far.

The American Museum of Natural History
