    Default Script Error Issue

I have BI 1.6, then downloaded FE, patched to FE 1.6, patched to 1.9, and then downloaded the music addon (in that order)...

Anywho, when I run the game, it gets me to the first loading page, the one with the still shot of the books and the copyright info for Sega and Total War, yadayada. Then, it crashes to the desktop and reads, "Script Error in bi\ci/data/descr_items.txt, at line 15, column 9. include file not found in data/descr_items/:'di_spot_items.txt" . Did I mess up? lol. Can someone tell me whats wrong?

    Thank you.

The problem is that you do not have 1.6, even though you say so. Do you have gold edition?

Oh and no need to download patch 1.6 because all patches are cumulative, meaning that you need to only download the latest.

Nope, just regular plain R:TW 1.5 patched. It says I do have 1.6, and I did download it off the TW website (the BI 1.6 patch that is). Would a reinstall and patching do the trick? Am at work currently, so I won't know if that'll pan out 'til later. Is there a more convienient way?

PS, I majored in computer programming, so I know first hand how computer are prone to lying to the users. *mumbles about apparently having 1.6 but not* Bad!

TWC are hosting the 1.6 patch? I'd get it from SEGA's site as we state in the instructions.

RTW 1.5 should be 1.6 BI - or, that is to say, BI 1.6 patch will update RTW to 1.5.

And it might be best to post here (and look here for errors):
