    Icon5 Question's about the future of SS

    I've been plaiyng this mod for 4 days and it's really the best one I've ever played for M2TW!!!Great work King Kong!!

    I have some doubt's...

    what are the aims and goals of this mod and who are the members of your team???
    do you plan on making of this a huge mod like total realism and EB are for RTW??

    how far are you interested in historical accuracy??

    Are you interested in expand the map a little further eastwards to persia?

    Do you plan on having 31 factions in it??

    well...sorry for so many question's!

    I have two questions

    How come the templar squires dont have a bonus against armour attribute, they do have maces, was the attribute removed for balance issues?

    i downloaded the stainless steel for the first time, and i didnt see a launch icon in the desktop, so am i supposed to access the mod from the medieval folder only, or did i do something wrong?

    KK is one man Army he is only one response and all these credits goes to him for SS Mod.
    he is making one Mod which is v4 for SS so in that you will see many province
    by the way he is making better faction for Kiev Visit those

    you are doing fine, we all play the same way but just copy the SS.bat file and past short-cut

    It would be great if persia and the east/north of the caspian sea were added......with pleanty of provinces rather than about six or so.........Byzantium WILL conquer!!!!!!!!1

    Kievan Rus faction looks like it'll be great. SS is the best mod for M2TW, props to KK ^_^

    i concur, this is one mod that kept my interest for a pretty long time (total war wise-not real time) There are simply too much stuff going on in the campaign map which makes it so interesting to play.

    Yeah guys stop complaining. This is the best out there. Some other stupid mods don't even show the terrain of the map if you don't have units/watchtower there.

    There is no mod that compares to this in my opinion. I am not even curious about other mods because I get all I need from Stainless Steel.

    especially when KK split the era in two eraly medieval and high medieval
    also events fall of constantinople, tutonic order and stuff btw he sai dhe is gonna give more events so it will be more interest in v4

    Hi King Kong, Hi all,

    I tried many mods, but no one of them staisfied me at 100%.
    - Either you can have an "intelligent" campaign AI, but with poor Battle AI and unmodified map and textures (UAI 1.5)
    or
    - Either you can have a smart battle AI, but with poor Campaign AI and unmodified map and textures (Darthmod)
    or
    - Either you can have a big map and some nice textures (Some other mods, Burrek's, etc.)

    Is there a way to get a game improved on each level ???

    I post it on SS forum cos' it seems to be one of the most complete modification for M2TW.
    KK, would your awaited V4 fulfill my gamer's dream ?????

    lol, hopefully he'll make something really good, it's not like we expect ANYTHING less from him. Still, why don't we ease up on him a little, cause i think he is overloaded now. After all, he is but one man

    It would be be unwise if I were to say this is the best mod out there for every mod satisfy different individuals according to their likings.
    For me, this is definitely the the best and one that will give me ultimate satisfaction and not to mention the addiction that tag along. I always play mods or vanilla at vh/vh levels and have lost several campaigns (some of them surrendered voluntarily) and don't remember ever analysing and thinking about my last saved game while driving home from work. This is one mod that I am determined to complete the campaign knowing that the interest will never die due to playability and balance. I won't deny that I'll be trying out some other mods in the future as what I have done before but the SS mod is certainly preventing me to look that far and that future mod will most likely be SS version 4.0. Thankyou! Sir King Kong, the king of mods.

    I agree totally with the above, though i have to say that i won't be trying any other mods. This mod provides me with everything i want.

    In my first campaign as the Knights Templar's i got a kicking
    In my current campaign as the Knights Templar's i've migrated my army (via sea)northwards due to the reality of the situation i'm in.
    In my Danish campaign i am at war with the HRE,the Poles and the English after capturing all the scandinavian provinces+ Hamburg,Frankfurt,Stettin and Antwerp.
    The amount of action i am getting is making it a slow but bloody enjoyable game.

    In LTC i found the game too easy, this mod gives me everything i could ever ask for.
    Once again King Kong i salute you for giving me a challenge.

    This are all very good questions!
    Well, I have some big plans for my mod, that's sure. And to be honest, I really thought about it, to call my mod "total realism", since I loved RTR, of course.
    But even RTR become boring after some time, since I fighted the always the same armies at the later game...
    However, I'm mainly interested in creating a game that makes fun and adds some more historical accuracy as a side effect.
    Historical accuracy is nice, but I think it is not always the best for a game.
    I.e. it would be historical correct to have armies full of peasants and levies and very few knights. This wouldn't be much fun...
    However, when I get suggestions for more historical accuracy I'll try to implement it...

    And well, my mod will concentrate on the "main medieval places", and that was Europe. A persian faction would be nice, but I'm not sure if it's worth for this game...
    The final map I have in mind for my mod, will be a big and interesting Europe and a slight extension to the north (for Norway) and to the east (for powerful turks and egypts).
    I think this map will have enough space for 31 factions at the ending and it will hopefully make a very interesting "medieval battlefield".
    In the first post here I've explained which factions will probably be added.
    Some others may follow...

    So, in conclusion, I hope my mod will be a more or less "total conversion" of M2 with mainly reasonable and interesting changes of gameplay, but also better graphics...

    I don't consider Europe to be the only main medieval place, in my opinion it would be Europe, Middle East and Persia...I think the Shahdom of Khwarezm would be a great addiction to the faction list...

    I've been working in some things about this game...ideas, scripting, events, possible faction lists...would this be of some use to you??
