I got an A, 96%, because I brain farted on two questions (whats the purpose of fruit and plates moving against each other and I said earthquakes which for some reason registered as wrong answer even thought its correct.)

alot of this crap i never took in the 8th grade, and it seems to be a specific test of knowledge of a particular course focus, rather than extensive knowledge of the general subject. most of the questions are inane, like how does such and such use its appendage?

Yeah. My 8th grade science covered basic chemistry and physics and 9th grade covered biology. I don't know why a school would ever teach both in the same year, they are at the basic level, unrelated.

How can ya suppose that all those who have passed out 8th grade here,share the same syllabus that's covered in that quiz?Remember,different regions of the world mostly have different Science in schools which may not include the Science questions asked in this quiz.

No, but they are pretty simple questions anyway. Anyone with a science background ought to be able to do pretty well on them. I fell down because I don't know the true purpose of fruit, I've never heard of a meteoroid and I can't remember my rock types.

Come to think of it, who does know the true purpose of fruit? Maybe it's been sent by a higher power to test us in some way, maybe it's like a long term memory storage device for the Earth, which is actually a big computer that was built by mice to find the answer to the ultimate question of Life, the Universe and Everything. We can't know this. Therefore I think that question is unfair and should be removed from the test.

Discounting the unfair question I get B instead

Yeah I remember that my biology teacher told me the fruit is used to supply food for te seed. That was supposed to be the main purpose and it wasn't there! Anyway that's why I got the 96%...'

I'm not even american (which the site is) and did decent. Its very very basic stuff and unless you are still in the 8th or 9th grades then it shouldn't be "not fair." Plus this is just for ***** and giggles to see how stupid you are when it comes to stuff you already learned. For instance I never learned about some of the biology stuff ever yet I still was able to take educated guesses. Have fun with it and then when you do better than say Chris_UK rub it in his face

Really easy questions, though I noticed they have biology, physics and chemistry and geography mixed together, which in eastern Europe are all different classes, thus more exams...
