    Default 0 turn recruitment.

    Is there anyway that I can adjust this mod so that 0 turn recruitment is possible. I think it makes the game a little bit more realistic.

    Open up the Export_descr_unit text in your idbf folder (which should be in your Rome - Total War folder). Go to edit, click replace, put this into find 'stat_cost 1' and 'stat_cost 0' in the replace box. Click replace all. Then repeat for 'stat_cost 2' and 'stat_cost 3' and 'stat_cost 4' in the find box and 'stat_cost 0' in the replace box. I sometimes do up to the stat_cost 6 to make sure I get them all. Make sure to copy the export_dscr_unit before you make any changes incase anything goes wrong.

    It's still possible to enlist low tier units like coastal levies or western auxiliary archers in 0 turns - this guys are militia types and have their own equpment I use them only to secure city walls, but being only able to raise and train profesional heavy legionary infantry in three turns - 9 months is more realistic to me. You need more time to produce /buy their expensive hardware and training them to stand and move in battle formations alone will propably take three months alone.

    i tried the thing u said to change it. i did exactly what u said, with both wordpad and note pad and it didn't work. i can only recruit levies in 0 turns. the only thing i wanted to do is bring down the 1 turn recrutiment troops to 0.
