years/turns question

I really liked the vanilla campaign's 6month per turn. Is there a way for me to change from 2 years per turn to 6 month per turn? I read the FAQs and it says to change the descr_strat, but I'm curious if the building cost/time and seiging time will be messed up if I change the time scale to 6 month per turn.
