I played byz.empire and HRE in 1.9.12 and after 1249 the game refuses to continue procecing...Has anyone play any farther than 1249 in the same edition or even 1.2.0?Is it possible the same problem to exist in the new version?Has anyone test it beyond this time?
TGC in order to continue its development seak one or more desicated scripters to put our campaign scripts mess to an order plus to create new events and create the finall missing factions recruitment system. In return TGC will give permision to those that will help to use its material stepe by step. The result will be a fully released TGC plus many mods that will benefit TGC's material.
Despite the mod is dead does not mean that anyone can use its material
    read this to avoid misunderstandings.

IWTE tool master and world txt one like this, needed inorder to release TGC 1.0 official to help TWC to survive.
Adding MARKA HORSES in your mod and create new varietions of them. Tutorial RESTORED.

Actually, Torn, I think the 60-year old in lust with his child bride. My house rules never allow anyone over the age of 35 to get the hand of a princess.

At Oldgamer: i have the same sort of rule lol

Playing France for 200 turns my family tree was perfect -every couple had one or two children, around half male half female.... while playing M/VH
    However.....
Playing England on M\VH for 60 turns my family tree is has no males about 3 females from 8 couples?! my empire just lost two family members to a crusade.. (which brings me on to my next point) when my Kingdom didn't even have enough family members to govern my cities

Every time i go on a crusade on M\VH, (my character is already joined before boarding) just before my characters board a fleet (of merc ships) my crusading general dies?! that has happened three times now! i checked for two of them on their trait list abd they both had 'relatively healthy' and th third was excusable --- being my 64 year old faction leader.

In my France campaign there are about 9 free seats in the college of cardinals--- three of the members are my priests?? why do the seats not fill up with new members when one dies? btw im playing M\VH

hope these 'bugs' may be of use to u

btw i have played EVERY single released mod hosted on this forum and this is by far the best overall -- i simply love the mercs, balanced field costs (even tho they wont be in next version lol) and i love the recruitimg by eras --very historical and balanced!!

I'm not sure about your other problems, but regarding the priests and the college of Cardinals. Probably the first 100 or so turns are the shakiest for the AI. It's trying to get it's economy up and conquer surrounding rebel settlements. Priests at this point are not a priority for the AI, plus all the old cardinals start dying off. At this point, if you recruit priests, you'll dominate the college.. for a while.

Soon, the AI gets settled, and starts recruiting it's own men of the cloth. Then things get much more competitive and balance is restored!

    Hi Everyone!

I've been playing as the Sultanate of Rum on The Long Road map, simply because the challenge of it is so rewarding and i love the units.

Anyway I had read earlier in these threads that a few people have had crashes when they've taken over Cairo, Alexandria and Samanda. Well this is indeed true because when i took over both Cairo and Alexandria i was fine for a moment and then it crashed in the year 1147. Also when it crashes the screen turns black and then, but it doesn't take me back to the desktop and instead i have to shut the pc off and turn it back on.

When i installed the Long Road i already had the v1.2 patch, so i was wondering if there is a tool that fixes these bugs? If anyone knows of a solution or of a tool that can fix the ctd's then please can you help me.

NOTE! I HAVEN'T USED ANY CHEATS SO FAR!

Hiya torn just a few things:

    1. First off your links to banners in advertisements topic are broken (at least for me that is). Could you rehost on another site?

    2. Just something nit picky but the crossroad (for dirt roads, don't know for stone) from southampton (just above) to London, exeter is slightly off alignment.

    3. Islamic princesses' can still cause ctd's when they try to start diplomatic relations, though the likely hood of it is low.

    4. Merchants buying out other merchants is extremely hard (not sure if you changed it from vanilla since only recently I started using them). My 3 star merchant has only a 10% chance of buying out another merchant. When the other merchant has 6 stars theres a 6% chance. Doubling the chance would be nice.

    5. My family members always seem to be healthy. I know in your previous release (or the one before that) when my generals started campaigning there was a much higher frequency of illness (too high really). My family members would also, from time to time, get ill in settlements and also the dread leprosy. Now none of that happens, and the only time I see sick people is when I'm fighting another faction's family member (rare, at that).

Could you bump it up a little, but not like in the previous releases? While I love healthy generals it added another aspect to the game. Especially when one of my family members becomes a leper!

Also one last thing, in the old release my leper (who was one at introduction) lived to be 50-60. Was my guy just lucky (depends on perspective I guess ) or is there something broken?

    6. Assassin are little too effective. Playing my campaign right now as england, I just set up coaching house and recruited about 5 assassins. 2 out of the 5 right away got courtesans (+1 star). Within 10 turns of wreaking havoc in France and Scotland I have two level 8 star assassins (thanks partly to their followers), 1 level 5 assassin and the other two still at level one.

Funny thing is, I sent one of the level one assassin's to kill the king of Scotland, just so I could get rid of the assassin (he had only a 5% chance) and ended up killing the bloke ><

Anways back on track, if you could adjust the levels so its more in line with the spys that would be great! I really love how theres a good chance your spy will be caught and killed during the beginning of his career. Also could you tone down the frequency of receiving followers for them? Its a little nutty right now I have one guy getting 5 stars just from followers!! And he's only been around a few years.

    7. Love the amount of rebels in the water, puts to you the hard choice of building up a navy and clearing them out, or gamble and hope that when the time comes to transport men across theres no rebels. Maybe slightly reduce boat upkeep would increase ai's use of them? Its kinda dead in the Mediterranean (at least for the first 150 turns).

    8. Just something interesting I noticed. In Iberia if Spain allies with Portugal she eventually forces the moors out and takes over most of Iberia and part of southern France. If she instead chooses to fight Portugal, the moors take over most of Iberia with Portugal taking the most of the rest. Spain gets slammed and stuck with 1-2 provinces for a while before getting overrun.

    ^ Love it!

    9. One last thing, for now, its far to easy to get a princess to marry into your family. In fact it seems like countries are practically throwing her at you! Would be more fun if getting her hand is actually hard to do.

Another thing about that, is there a way for princesses to marry family members other than the heir? Maybe say, any direct descendant (use that English blood trait maybe?).

Thanks for the great mod Torn!

Just another point, when crusading to Jerusalem I encountered a rather annoying situation.

There's no one guarding it >>. Quite literally theres one general unit there, nothing else, no armies even close to it. Now its not because Syria has become weak, in fact in my game it has the most territory and money. Kinda wish I didn't buy all those mercs in europe now ><

Whats adds salt to the wound is that when the crusade first started off there was half a stack there. I suppose they had some other pressing issues somewhere...

Is there a way for factions to prioritize defending crusade and jihad sites? Cause even earlier (turn 40 ish) a jihad was called against Constantinople. Which is fine since the By, had a full stack there... well unit the Syria sieged it of course, two or three turns before Syria shows up all but 4 units run off to the west. Must have missed the memo on that one. Unfortunately I was at Cairo at that time busy scaling the walls for crusade (which luckily had 6 units to guard it).

I'm not sure if these have been mentioned before, but here goes:

For some reason, the Pope goes to either Cordoba or Cairo for the first Crusade rather than Jerusalem or Acre/other holy sites. Is there any way to fix this?

Another thing: I got to 1240 on a Moorish campaign (54 provinces ) and the gunpowder event triggered and showed its little movie... but when I go to cities/castles, there's absolutely no gunpowder available, and there aren't any new gunpowder units listed on the tech tree under the Moor's camel trading post or under Royal Barracks etc. Does it just take a while for gunpowder to become constructible, or did the event not trigger properly?

Overall, I like this mod a lot better than vanilla or anything else I've tried, mainly due to more provinces and nerfed heretics.

One other thing: I had the campaign set on short mode, and killed Spain +Portugal a longass time ago and got 25 regions soon after, but I still didn't get the "Victory" message... and there aren't any victory conditions displayed on the faction summary scroll either.

For those of you with Non-English version of MTW2, Please see the 'Known Issues' link on the Download Page. You will get CTDs when clicking characters on the campaign map unless you adjust something. This is because Non-English versions are missing entire sound sets.

@ Xeno Can't make it prioritize regions. Unfortunately, the is only so much you can do with the AI. Giving the AI the ability to field more armies is one potential solution.

@Freedom - No crusades are hardcoded. Gunpowder just announced gunpowder. Now you need the weapon technology. e.g. Matchlocks or Cannons. Not sure about the victory.

    @Leonidas300

    Try openning up export_descr_guilds.txt
and deleting the block of text were you find
    0150_Crusade_Created

That was a bug but I didn't think it would CTD you. The other one is not an issue.

Btw, do you have a Non-English version of MTW2? If so, see the 'Known Issues' Link on the Download Page

    @Xeno

    The server was probably down.

Islamic princesses will be adjusted. The CTDs are likely caused because no sounds are mapped to them.

Diseases have already been tweaked for the next release.

    I'll look into assassins.

Princess marriage attempts are hardcoded afaik.

Muslim charaters having Peter the Hermit as a side kick kinda strikes me a tad off, but its not a biggy.

    Weak

Ah, I see about the princesses I take it you did something about it? Nothing game breaking since its only happens say 1/5 times.

A shame about crusades, they are really the only battle I want to be full blown. Hopefully the next releases armies will compensate

Playing as Scotland, at the present time.

Has anyone seen this error? A child is born to the royal family, and the family tree shows:

    ,
    b. 1101

No name, born in 1101 (or whatever year). I've had three of these, so far ... two boys, and a girl.
