    Default Crash to Desktop

    I'm getting CTD during the battle my city constantinople is getting sieged. Sometimes it happens right at the start, last time it only happened once their ram got to the gate.

    Hi Pinko,

    Strange... your system.log doesn't show any "unusual" errors, this are all "normal" warnings from vanilla game...
    Do you know if you have any unit in this battle which you havn't had before?

    When you have a "animations" folder in Stainless_Steel/data, then this may cause the problem. So, when you have this folder, try to delete it...
    Otherwise I'm a bit puzzled why it crashes in this battle...:hmmm:

    Delete the animations folder? It's 54mb w/ 418 files.

    I auto resolved to get by that battle, but it's crashing now when another city gets sieged, right when I click "start battle" after I prepare my defences.

    The city is Antioch, there are two spanish crusade armies. only one is actually "sieging the city" (the other is standing near by). Durring the pre battle phase it shows the 2nd army grayed out, but it still shows up at the attack. The grayed out army has 1 strange unit "Free Company Longbowmen" all of its stats = ?

    that's a mercenary unit and I used it ok in my campaigns. Dunno what it could be...crashes are pretty rare for this mod, think I only ever had one and it was in one of earlier versions.
