    Icon5 Spys, Assasins and Merhcants

Hi guys, actually my first post here I think...

First I have to say that SS is really a great mod, never enjoyed the game so much before. Until I tried to enter a city with a spy and take over a French merchants business in the same turn.

A successful rate of 80% wasn't enough not with the spy, not with my merchant. My merchant had 5 stars (French 1) and so did my spy.

It wouldn't been annoying if that happened once, but It's happening all through campaign.

Doesn't anyone else find that too unrealistic or have I missed some posts? Anyone has any suggestions or instructions maybe?

I'm playing with Danes WH/WH, because everything seems so simple with them and they have awesome roster

On the contrary, my agents have been immensely succesful in my M/M campaign with the English. I took down King Louis of France with a full star assassin at 18%. I now turn out 3-4 star assassins and spies from London, train them on captains quickly and launch them against the French family members. They have lost ALOT of family from my assassins - much more so than in the field of battle.

Their fault for starting a war, huh?

Merchants need a boost, seems like AI has a big advantage in acquisition. Spies and assassins are fine imo.

Yes, spies and assassins can be trained on captains, but merchant can't do nothing else than sit on goods for years if they can not take over businesses.

    Hi sodmkav,

First of all welcome, to the forums and thanks for the feedback!
Well, personally I think those characters are pretty ok, but maybe you're right that merchants need to be a bit better, since you can't really "train" them.
Thanks for the note and proabably I'll make it a bit easier to take over another merchant... The problem is only that the AI gets this advantage too and this makes it even easier for them to take over the human merchants...
