Pinpointed lag/out-of-bounds battle camera issues with Britons
My apologies if this was posted elsewhere. I couldn't find it on a search. It's also rather late for me, so I might have missed something, but this should all be correct.
The easiest fix for this issue is to change unit settings to huge. Hasty testing indicates that it's much harder, if not impossible, to bring this issue about when that change is made. The following conditions create this issue if unit settings are set to large.
This was experienced most with the Europa 270 B.C. map (see the technical issues thread), but it's a Darthmod issue, probably with the initial deployment formations. It's easy to confirm this issue with Custom Battle.
Firstly, and most importantly, this issue only arises when the General or Captain is a chariot unit. Unfortunately, all Bretonnian Generals are mounted on chariots.
Secondly, one of these two conditions must exist:
1) Three or more Briton chariot units are present in an army
2) Two Briton chariot units are present in an army, and a combination of other troops in that army (types, number, or both) and terrain limitations are present in a given battle
When either of these conditions are satisfied as well, Darthmod will initially place the general's chariot group at the bottom-left corner of the deployment zone, either just inside or past the border (I never get the chance to tell). Since the camera automatically moves to the general at the beginning, the camera goes off bounds and havoc erupts...that's my guess, anyway. If non-general/captain chariot units are forced into that corner, there is no issue; it must be a general/captain chariot unit in that area. Note that only chariot units are ever forced to that corner.
To recreate:
Load a custom battle with large unit settings, play the Britons, select Darthmod: Flat (the most open terrain possible, really) and put in any three chariots. Watch the issue occur.
Play around with the unit numbers and types and you can probably bring it about with two chariots even on Darthmod: Flat - this issue occurs in Europa's Briton campaign right away if you combine the garrison of the larger city with the general parked outside it, and then battle the Rebels that exit their city after you end the turn with that stack (general, druid, warband, warband, light chariots). Try that stack in Darthmod: Flat and it runs fine. I chalk it up to the heavily broken and forested terrain in the Bretonnian region.
It has to be an initial deployment issue, and it's probably related to the anomalies I see when I try the manipular formation with certain numbers of infantry on large settings.

Re: Pinpointed lag/out-of-bounds battle camera issues with Britons
I have the same exact problem and the only fix I could find was having only one unit of chariots in an army, which isn't too great if you're playing Briton. It also only occurs in field battles (i.e Not siege battles) in which you are the one controlling the chariots.
If you play against an army of several chariots, there is no problem besides that their captain/general unit of chariots is way at the back. I have a screenshot but I don't have an imageshack account so I can't put it up.
Hope somebody can get a fix for this, or say if they experience the same problem so I know it's not just my computer.

Reason: Tried to put up a screenshot. Couldn't manage.
