    Default Hopelites

So the hopelites are basicly all the same when u look to their stats except for the skins (wich are cool), wouldn't it be a good idea to give each sort of hoplite a little bonus?

Make a suggestion, and we'll try to do that?

Making them different just for the sake of being different doesn't make a lot of sense. Given that all hoplites fighting in the same phalanx style were more or less the same I don't think there is a reason for any of these changes. Their difference is they come from different cities and they dress different.

    I don't know - a bit of individuality wouldn't do any harm

there's no real point though is there? i mean, some of the legions are actually different, but their stats are only different by the tinyest of margins, and even then, they are categorized - there's no point just randomly putting in differences in the stats just for the sake of it!

well you could research it a bit and then adjust the stats accordingly.

I suppose that they might vary in defensive capabilities, or in armour to some degree. Climatic differences between say, Athenian and Cyrenian Hoplites, etc.

So, would we change the skins? For instance, chainmail further south, due to heat? Or, even, some sort of headscarf? Just ideas I'm throwin up.

i'm not too keen on the idea of chainmail for hoplites, as there's no historical basis for it.

I like the idea of some variety. If you want some historical suggestions, I'd say:

Bosporan hopelites: + Speed, - Armor (Scythian influence)

Syracusian hopelites: + Armor, - Speed (better armor produced by Syracuse)

Athenian hopelites: + Armor, - Speed (better armor produced by Athens), + morale (Athenian pride)

Cretan hopelites: - morale, + defensive skill (less urbanized)

Rhodian hopelites: + speed, + defensive skill, - armor (better suited for fighting on ships, less armor)

It'll be very LOW priority to change anything witheir textures...they're already new. Stat changes are what was implied.
