Extreme lag plz help

I'm sorta new at this computer tech thing. Lately nearly every game i play has lag.
Game i have played lately:
RTW
Rise and Fall
Battlefield 1942
Act of War

My graphics card is a Nvidia GeForce FX 5200(256 MB)

They lag even on medium.

PLZ HELP!

Did those games always lag on those settings, or just recently?

Your graphics card is seriously out-dated (it's 5th generation, we are at 8th generation now), and it's about the slowest version of it's generation.

really it is that old?
Is there any way to salvage it?
But i was told it was better than my old one. It was a ATI RADEON 9200 SE.

I had an AMD 2800+ and the FX 5200 and couldn't get better than single digits fps in M2TW on the lowest settings.

Basically your video card has about much chance of running any of those games smoothly, as a Big mac has of surviving a date with Michael Moore.

Buy a new card. If you will not buy a new computer, you should buy new AGP card as there are still in market. GeForce FX5200 is old, junk card. Actually, whole GeForce FX5xxx series was clearly beaten by ATI in that time...

Buy GeForce 7600GT, if you don't have money then 7600GS. Also depends on what system you have.
