Interesting what the current and former developers are now coming out and saying.
Hopefully Ultimate General: American Revolution is a decent strategy/wargame.

Where do I find the user.script?
Hopefully AOR units will be added. Also It would be good if you were not forced to convert buildings in conquered settlements to your culture. Conquering the HRE as Sicily but then having to convert...
3K is an excellent game overall. If there was a mod to replace the cartoony death rolls and soldiers flying through the air when hit by arrows or a cavalry charge then that would be grand :)

"Our truth behind the myth approach has allowed us to draw from a multitude of mythology’s most renowned monsters and include them within the battlefields of Troy as realistic representations of what...
With regards to Troy, is it confirmed that 'superheros' and in-game and not just fancy dress units and is it possible we could see two game modes just like TK, historical and fantasy?
Well we will see very shortly.
I believe we will see Troy around November time.
Which is a shame since its far better than Rome 2 imo (with the exception of optimisation).
It would appear that a number of DLC/FLCs for Rome 2 and Attila are being considered - many of which were never released for whatever reason.
Well the rumour centres around another rumour that Troy is to be delayed until late 2020-21. CA are therefor planning new historical content to fill in the meantime. Why they haven't been released...
Rumours - and they are only rumours - that at least one new Rome 2 DLC is due to be announced in the coming weeks. The most likely being one based on Trajan's Dacian Wars, the second based on the...
If a population and logistics system was added to AE it would be the greatest mod of all time :)
I agree, if it wasn't for the mods I probably wouldn't be playing Total War much. As much as I enjoy playing the games its the mods that give them their true potential.
The games that I want -...
If going fantasy, fantasy-historical is great for growing the fan base (i.e. more money) then CA isn't going back. Plus they have different teams working on different projects so its not a case of...
I said that Attila would be the last 'historical' title that CA would produce then they would move into fantasy-historical.
The population system sort of forces you to have a balanced and somewhat accurate army which I like.
3K is a good game. However the battles feel a bit arcadey with troops flying through the air and just falling over. The campaign is good but again bits of it feel cartoonish/arcady. Its a good title...
Any recommendations for realism mods for 3K?
It is possible to have all diplomatic options with the exception of trade regions?
TWC forums are very quiet. Is that due to the lack of interest here on certain games or a wider issue?
I installed the add on for the mod that re-enables the building of forts. However all I seem to be able to built are wooden stockades, no artillery forts. Am I doing something wrong?
Cheers
Yes, I wonder if this chap called Henry is on the forums
Very much so. While the battles are good I feel the campaigns lacks depth. Adding in logistics, supply lines, manpower and the ability to build forts to control strategic points would be great.
Didn't the vanilla game feature peasants as stone throwers?
Cheers, will do.
There has been some issues with DLC if you don't get the game via steam. I ordered the LE edition via amazon and didn't get the DLC code.
The game was originally slotted in for October/November 2018, which was stated back in July. However as observed at the time and since, this was an unrealistic target.
An 11-week delay? Ah well its better that they take the time to get it right.
I liked the blood effects in Medieval 2 that would increase the more a unit was fighting, and it wasn't overdone.
Is this the dearest TW game to date?
Rome II initially had capture points in battles until they were removed in the first patch I believe.
If naval battles are added later as a DLC that would be bad form.
It might be too much micromanagement for some but I personally would like to see more done on individual army units and the captains leading them. It would be good to see them develop over each...
There was a backlash against capture points in battles when they were planned for Rome 2.
I personally like the idea of having baggage trains and army camps that could be attacked during battle,...
I remember when Medieval 2 was announced, in an interview the developers stated that weather and battlefield conditions would have an impact on how they were fought. They mentioned muddy fields...
I don't think the battles are ever really going to change. I was hoping for larger-scale engagements for this setting. Not sure a new game engine will change things although I would say its overdue...
I wasn't aware that mining was in-game, so that's a plus.
Siege weapons like the trebuchet were used to fire burning material or dead animals to inflict damage rather than kinetic energy against...
