The real, only big problem with battles is the engine... a big one I would say ;) they continue to promote the game with sharp, short battle videos using the camera at head soldiers level... but we...
I was able to play the mod with different versions of the extended Japan mod (I prefer the 24 more provinces version) so you shouldn't experience any problem ;)
Same engine, so:
1) black dots/ants armies
2) blobbing warfare
Not interested.
Two very different products. FoG try to "simulate" an ancient warfare battle. TW games try to take advantage of your powerful hardware. But I have to admit that "when in battle" FoG II give you a...
Even less: "the real battle" last about 7 mins. But that's Total War nowdays, a wonderful video to see on youtube, great graphics, lighting effects , spells and outstanding creatures an lovely...
It's a bit strange anyway that the first sticky thread of this sub-forum is about a feature that won't be in the mod... is it so complex to remove the thread?
How can the new slot system be just for game 2 if we know the two campaigns map could be merged eventually? :hmm::hmm:
I strongly suggest you guys to have a look to this very promising title!
http://store.steampowered.com/app/499660/Medieval_Kingdom_Wars/
We don't have 10-20 mins battle even using mods... and yes last TW games are really, really dumbed down and became just a click-fest , they have the same depth of a mobile platform arcade, anyway...
Totally agree. I also think keeping the naval battle on auto-resolve it's a good idea expecially if they are going to introduce brand new gameplay features for campaign and battle mode for the whole...
Gameplay vanilla deep is equal to an android platform game or even worse. This decline gradually has begun since the first Rome. Use mods, obviously.
? You can easily set yourself "off line" even when Steam is in on line mode.
Mhh isn't a beta version due to be released this month? :hmm:
Hi! Videos and screenshots look really amazing, but I really can't find a list of feautures of this mod (economy, campaign, ai, diplomacy etc) there's a guide about warfare but I also recently red...
This is quite sad to know, could you please be more specific about what brand new battle dynamics we are going to experience in AE then?
Completely disagree , and most of all, you simply have not to use them if you don't want. I would never buyed another TW after the first Rome without mods , which sometimes are just fixes, Darth,...
I agree with you about the strong lack of "tactical actions" but definitely not about map size, especially when we have to face an ai which just send all its units crashing in front of you...
Completely agree.
No my friend. Warhammer is going to sell a lot imho, as well the tons of dlc that will follow it. Most of users just want new scenario and new unit's texture and CA knows...
Realistic, strategic, historically authentic battles.
Sounds really good, but where can I find something more specific please (same for campaign enhancementes, if any) thks :)
Is there really any chance or proof of an upcoming patch?
:hmm:
Totally agree. Also in terms of polishness.
Do not underestimate the power of the dark EA...
No but there's a 21-page thread of speculations based on.... nothing (almost)
Thanks for efforts. I suppose this is for multiplayer games 'cause in single player there's no time or way for any tactics considering AI just rush you forward.
Still playing Shogun II and Napoleon (of course both modded) . Empire? C'on the game where France has 2 regions, rubbish... Rome II? a game with 0 atmosphere and even less appeal with a very ugly...
But only TW games NEED mods to be playable in a decent way.
This... maybe in couple of years from release, maybe. They learn "the lesson" from Med II and its amazing mods like SS or The Third Age.
Can't really find one mate. Rome II is, after Empire, the greatest CA flop.
Although I think Attila is one of the best TW, with great "modding potential" I have to agree with every single word of the op. I find particulary very disturbing AI's spamming armies even on hard...
I swear I would buy immediately "testing our product/patch before release it" DLC.
I decide to increase a bit the reward for every specific faction missions.
-The 5-chapter accomplishment progression change from: 2000/4000/6000/8000/10000 $ to 3000/5000/7000/9000/12000
-Every...
Vannila lazy and ridiculous settings. Use mods ;)
Actually I miss the logic of this Rally Point... if any ;)
Same here and to tell you the truth I don't dislike this feature. I love women
Well done CA, another good step toward the right direction. Attila became every day more interesting and appealing.
:laughter: :thumbsup2
Mhh using The Geats and it appears clearly my armies suffering winter attrition in my own land... :(
Thanks a lot m8, well done! Question: How this mod work togheter with Dresden's "more meaningful season"? :hmm:
Problems not only playing romans . Main issue it's again about ai cheating spam army (or "weird bonus" if you prefer)... I'm playing with the Geats, hard livel (TW player since first Shogun...) what...
and here...
Pre-sales were huge for Rome II and there was a lot of hype considering the time frame is one of most loved (if not the most) on the contrary, Sengoku Jidai era fency less peole. But sales numbers...
