    Re: How the Iberians looked

Damn, I'll truly miss the scale armour in Iberian elite units :(
Still, I trust the team to make a great work out of them and I'll gladly welcome the announced improvements in Iberian factions.
  2. Re: Why does every Celtic and Germanic tribe have their own unique units?

I totally disagree, diversity, immersion and respresentation of ancient people's are imho some of the most important features of EB2. I wish every ancient people could be represented by their own...

I agree that it makes more sense for drilling grounds to give experience than temples.

I do have an suggestion to make the late game more interesting for the "barbarian" factions, inspired by the Lugian "Celtic Overlord" concept:

Regarding cavalry maybe reducing heavy cavalry unit size to 80 ( for non steppe factions ) while keeping the current prices would be an possible solution, though I have yet to test it.

Re: How to use chariots effectively?

In my own build I've reduced all elephant prices and upkeeps to half and it works a lot better now. Imho . So at the moment in my game the African elephants cost 2500/4000 and the Indians 5000/75000....

Re: How to use chariots effectively?

Scythed chariots can be used to some extent to fight off enemy cavalry, to disrupt enemy formations and to rout not so confident enemies. Just never ever let them get stuck in melee or get caught by...
  15. Poll: Re: [30th Faction slot] What would you like to see?

What about using one slot to represent a few mini factions spread across the map, historicaly more active than the rest of the Eleutheroi? Like Illyrians, Syracuse, Skythians, Meroe, Galatians,...
  16. Poll: Re: [30th Faction slot] What would you like to see?

While the hypothesis of having a new faction is always a tempting idea, if using the last slot could make the Eleutheroi more active, better simulate rebellions, civil wars, invasions by factions...

Really enjoying it so far, pretty epic! Great work!
  27. Sticky: Re: Announcement: Europa Barbarorum II 2.35 released!

The turns are much faster, economy seems better balanced, there are a lot of interesting new traits around and battles look a bit harder (through that's probably just an impression).

Doing the gallic (Aedui) campaign I've been delaying since I've started playing EB1!!

You have the awesome Maryagatai to fill that role iirc they are even available as mercenaries so you can get them into your Roman (or whatever) late imperial army!
