well, Id like you to find any evidence that they did not wear plumes in this period. Let's see it.

Well, to speak for the Roman faction, the type II is only representative of a Provincial rule, not a colony. Our resident Carthaginian historians will have to speak to the reasoning for their...
I dont think that would be a problem at all. Recruitment is an abstract representation from the whole territory anyway, not one city.
Greetings Europa Barbarorum fans.
Work is as always being done on EB and today we show off some of our latest units. Enjoy some of the latest units that will appear in next release.
Thanks goes...
maybe you should play them as theyre meant to be played then?
thats your graphics card
egad, I just noticed on the first page, Dave, the "Roman Legionaire" should be "Roman Legionary". Legionaire is a french soldier... that's a big roman no-no :)
Heh. You ain't seen nothing yet :)
(especially if you like playing as evil Romans) :thumbsup2
Thanks for all the great comments guys, I think I can speak for the team as a whole, it really makes this labor of love worth it :)
Ive started writing a couple of AARs, but always get caught up with work on EB or work in real life and unable to keep doing them. Id love to start another one soon. I usually focus on characters and...
Seriously?
www.europabarbarorum.com is your friend
that'd be pushing it, I think. Why the hell would u need rorarii when you have vigiles?
Uh, perhaps you did not notice the new city in North Africa?
And why would we place even more cities in Sicily at the expense of other regions?
plus, the vast majority of mercs were (and are today) interested in making money. killing for cash is easy in their mind.
We've done this already in the latest internal build. They will now be recruitable in Polybian times, representing the voluntarii or freed-slave legions raised in times of distress.
Nice! Sort of an un-climatic battle though.. great use of the blur effect for the screens!
Indeed they shall be, but its a compromise; they will be the first scrubbed if another unit needs their place.
Awesome, I cant wait!
The problem with using a faction slot in any mod for Judea is that they were never a regional power within a century or two of any of the common time periods, and were at best a collection of...
wow. why would you possibly expand that far so early? i guess its a playing style..but youre really missing the true intent, and fun of EB that way..
Amen. May he rest in peace. And give me some of this crazy TWC 'reputation' junk..

KLA's unit are enjoyed by some people, and certainly he has some talent, but they're not really the appropriate style for the official EB and won't be included in Europa Barbarorum. That said,...
Hah, I dont even get to play it. Unless Im testing new traits or something. Hmph.
Most accurate in the world would be a bit of a stretch. I could make a few comments on your Romani units if you're going for complete accuracy. Don't get me wrong Im not attacking this mod, I think...
I'll be checking out this mod just for the beautiful skins, and strap map graphics. I dont mind that its historically inaccurate, I have EB for that.
I dont want to speak for the RTR team, but I understand your desire for a Judean faction. However, due to their limited importance and lack of independence, they're hard to include. If there were...
Awesome!
ah ok, looks good! Where can I find an image of the pre-marian units?
wow, those are very nice. How many officers do you have with each cohors?
also, what is the time frame for this mod? the plethora of lorica segmentata unsettles me..
Yes, the main change of the "Polybian era" was the tactical use of cohorts instead of maniples. The triarii were still present as the rear echelon, and the rorarii and accensi had evolved into the...
Roman and Italic history. I am also a proverbial "good-idea" machine :) lol
Polybius describes in detail the Roman formations being used in the 2nd Punic War, and the hastati, principes, triarii were certainly still in use at this point.
Greetings all, I just tried out RS and love it! I was invited in to help out in a historian capacity, I'm happy to contribute ideas in any way possible. Great mod here!
Heh, I didnt say I was the expert on these numbering monstrosities :laughter:
Someone probably has a better answer for you than me, but AFAIK, the next release will be 1.0. That is, don't expect it next week; there is alot of work and effort going into it, and it will have...
Your Roman AAR with 1.0 will truely be an epic of ... well, epic proportions! There are so many features not yet included that I would say the entire playing experience will be different. The rise...
i could think of alot of things--food, water, oil, tack, ropes, nails, linen, etc, etc etc. not to mention pay for all the men, their equipment, etc.
wait until you guys see the new "Eb-smellavision" feature. It will knock your socks off.
you should generally assume that every named character in the game is rich enough to be in the Order of the Senate. The Senatore trait is sort of not needed, I think.
