    1) I think it's fine for RPGUs. For non-RPGU, like the general who leads the main army, the gain seems to be too slow. With the reduction of the number of armies, maybe there is less fighting overall...

    Somehow I got into this long war with Bactria and its allies which lasted for a good 30 years ( = 360 turns)....

    Saved game at turn 200. I kinda stopped expanding and took it easy. Galatia is over as a threat, now I think I'll start another wave of expansion once I'm making enough money

    For the land administration, the last effect in the list is "20% upkeep cost for all armies". Does that mean all armies in the province or faction wide? Also, isn't this a bit steep?

    It actually was the 12 tpy mod being outdated for 1.2.5. Once I re-installed it everything was fixed.

    Maybe the problem is this: hordes controlled by the player should be nerfed so that the game is a bit more challenging, but then the hordes that are controlled by the AI will have a hard time...

    I think at this point the ability should be changed from being called (and implemented as) "Night battle" to something like "Strategic maneuvering" - a mere cosmetic change to appease to the realists...
