What counts as a classical mod and what does not?
I would rather fight inside a city, since you can block corridors and stuff like that so that you can choose where you will fight, plus it is easier to prevent yourself from getting overwhelmed by...
If self-promotion is considered acceptable here you can try these two mods:
Demetrios Poliorketes: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2261333820
Last Stand of Greece:...
This thread is aimed to break down all campaign mechanics. It is aimed for newer players that may want to try out this mod, as it aims to offers a deeper experience compared to vanilla, but it can...
I think there was a mod with Perseus some time in the workshop long ago, but I am not 100% sure.
I suggest to not export .pack files with Assembly Kit
What you would have to do rather is:
1) On your main mod pack, put all the faction details (and all that stuff you want for your mod aswell)...

Looks really good! +rep
PFM has it inbuilt
There are music mods out there.
And this is how to make one yourself if you feel adventurous

Excluding Argos shown above, Miletos, Pergamon and the Achaian League are also planned to be emerging factions

Well I don't plan at cancelling it, you can sleep in peace ;)
As far as I know the Hopla used in that era were smaller than the ones used during the Peloponnesian War, so from a historical perspective it makes sense to use them instead.
Battles will have...

The choice was really hard but I gave my vote. All artists did a really good job!:salute:
Good Luck and most importantly, have fun with the development of the project ;)
Feel free to ask me anything related to startpos, I am a bit short on time so I can't actively help  (and I want...
Use Assembly Kit, you will find them much easier there
Nice work! The units look really cool!
Hopefully I will remember to check them out myself when you release it :laughter:
One slight note though: In Greek you wouldn't say Thessalikoi...
Yeah, I planned including it in some way(and after that unlocking the Thureos units), however it will occur earlier than it actually happened for a few reasons:
A) The campaign will be 12TPY (fits...
Looks good!
If you wanted more historical accuracy you could have reduced the number of Marines hat the ships carry, since historically a trireme for example would not carry 90 marines (if I am not...
Make a copy of data_rome2.pack, put it somewhere safe, uncheck the CA-packs are read only, then add the rows of land units and main units of the unit you have there aswell
I think the problem is that you could theoretically spam all the high tier units at the start, while historically you would have a lot of variety. Medieval II did this best in my opinion with its...
I assume that the game does not like having two resources on the same settlement, this could be your problem here.
Perhaps if you know hex-editing you could tweak the UI-settings and try your luck...
Update:
I worked on the mod again a bit, here are some previews of the building chains previously mentioned. Completely new ones and expanded vanilla ones

Looks Good!
P.S. Herakleios was most likely blonde so the dark beard doesn't really fit ;)
Some factions like the Scythian nomads could get stuff like "Migration" where they can get an army but at the cost of region growth or something like that. Or perhaps the Carthaginians should get...
Quick note on the current state of development:
The rosters, both land and naval are finished, I am currently working on the building chains

Thank you for all your work :)
Cheers
Hello everyone :)
This is a little tutorial to show you how to create a custom shield pattern for Hoplite units.
Tools required (they don't have to be exactly these, if you have a different...
I'd recommend you for Rhodos to give good stats to their fleets, since they weilded a professional navy, if you haven't considered that already
I decided to test historical leader traits on the character of Demetrios Poliorketes

Looking forward to the previews ;)
Warscape engine, Steel Age (Rome 2, Attila, Throne of Britannia, Three Kingdoms)
Favourite mod/overhaul: The Last Stand of Greece
Favourite submod/minor mod: AAA Generals (if I am not mistaken...
Then check that table again.
If that again is not the problem.
I'd suggest deleting the pack and building it again from scratch, from what it seems there was nothing major in it (just 3 units)....
Did you make the appropriate changes in unit_variant tables? (if you renamed the vmd files)
In order to make a faction playable you need to:
A) Go to startpos factions on the AK and tick the boxes "playable" and "is major"
B) process startpos (for these things I would recommend to revert...
