    Do you mean - don't use formation for engaging them/holding them off with frontal attack or for the flanking one? or both?

    yes, something is wrong with campaign difficulty, it somehow messes up battle difficulty even if you change it to normal.

    switch it to FXAA or Off or 2x at best. Crank all other setting to MAX and enjoy the game with steady 60 fps ;)
    and I would reccomend to switch to Windows 10 64 bit

    You can change all setting in GEM by yourself! It's very easy to do and you can make changes while in-game just like with reshade/sweetfx.
