The Infratructure will be built indeed, a nether system is in the planning stage and a overworld road network aswell. to solve the areas where the distance is to big to build bridges small ferry...

i do seem to recall an issue from previous servers aswell that people started walling off the portals... i would like to see a stipulation preventing such action aswell

i heard someone had simmilar issues, they said it was solved by logging one and off your client (i think)

i guess portals would be a solution. but as far as i can remember, map 2 were 8k, and travel wasnt that bad there
