Still far too fast paced IMO.
Didn't this dude win a noble peace prize or something? I don't know alot about him. As far as the death penalty goes, its a case by case basis with me. I believe some people just need to die, like...
Thank you RTR team. The mod looks wonderful. I like the multi-temple mod, as well as the new map.
It seems like units gain more experience when you auto resolve battles. Maybe thats just me though.
I don't mind having an archer general, he is unique after all, be nice if he wasn't a coward though.
The eagle standard has definately much improved over the last couple weeks, you are all doing a outstanding job, keep the interviews coming, they are informative and I think they help the mod...
I want a protoss(sp?) aircraft carrier from Starcraft for christmas. :)
If it could be done without too much of a hassle I'm all for it. If problems arise though I don't think any time should be wasted getting a demo out, besides, if a demo is released I'll just want to...
That was an absolutely fantastic interview, it provided a wealth of information and pictures and has certainly made me more interested in the project. Who was it that you interviewed Justinian?...
Good stuff once again Eagle Standard. ONe thing though, maybe its just me but those two updates at the top of the interview don't work.
Good interview Grimsta, this mod does indeed look fantastic and their are many good people working on it. Those skins are some of the best I've seen out of any modification to date, they look...
Pictures Its in the gallery section on RTRs website, I'm sure your not banned from that portion of the site, just the forums.
Try going to Syria, the area around Antioch and such, after the reforms a new unit opens up over there called "Syrian Archers", so if your looking for recruitable, retrainable archers thats your best...
To answer your question, RTR has done quite a bit of research into their skins and as far as I know I can't pick out any historical blunders with their skins. But then again their is only so much...
Medieval and Shogun are still great games. Definately have to get Shogun with the Mongol Invasion expansion and Medieval with the Viking Invasion expansion. Medieval with the VI expansion is my...
That second pic is really cool. Where did you get that skin from on the soldier? I've never seen it and it looks fantastic.
Nice, should be neat to see the fate of Longinus.
I agree with eastside, I fear losing my titles because I don't know what the requirements are to regain them.
So this one by Borsook changes more stuff? The description seems to indicate it only adds the factions and the map and leader portraits for them.
I don't need previews, I just want the mod. :)
Looking very good, thank you for the update.
Yeah, I imagine trying to get the open beta out is taking up all available time. What need is their for faction previews when we are going to be able to play it in the next few months.
I hear that.
I am really excited about this game. I was a huge Morrowind fan and Oblivion, if my expectations are fulfilled, will be the best game ever. I like how you can use a sword and magic at the same time,...
Well, I see where your coming from by citing Octavian, but that was the absolute end of the republic the senate was a shell of its former glory, yes he had forces outside of senate control but that...
I think it might just be you, I play with 6.2 and have battles at all times of the day.
I am waiting on Imperia Romana, I played Barbarian Invasion for about 3 days and gave up. So now I'm just waiting on IR, so...get back to work or somethin' Fabolous.
Yeah, both Jidai bring back Shogun, and Chivalry bring back Medieval, it should be just like old times, with much prettier graphics.
The Knights of Dol Amroth are definately the best demo unit, those things one the Crossings of Poros for me several times.
Morgoth, Sauron was just a measly captain to this guy. And he had a cool weapon. I just wish Fingolfin would have killed him.
Those are some nice screenshots you got there. I'll take a few good ones and put them up.
Yep, as far as realism modifications go Imperia Romana is looking like the thing to have.
I think the map is looking beautiful, especially the one of the alps, its jaw dropping.
It just doesn't suit the RTR mod very well. Hero units are perfect for Troy:Total War but any modification that is trying for historical accuracy would not benefit from having hero units IMO.
I don't know about black but if I am not mistaken roman armies would most definately not have purple in their uniforms, purple was the most expensive dye in the ancient world and to outfit an army...
I'm going to go outside the original question and say Shogun is the best. I mean sure it was simplistic with all the factions having the same units but I loved the assasin and geisha cutscenes and...
I just don't like the fact that it moves like a normal retinue, if it was some kind of special retinue where you could switch between generals even across your empire it would be fine.
