How about, instead of requiring them to physically be in Rome, giving characters a temporary “participating in elections in Rome” trait that sets their movement points to zero for a turn or two?
...
Cool! Did not know you could do that.
First of all; thanks EB2 team for the massive work that you have put into this mod! It's truly amazing!
I would really like to see an aqueduct building! These marvels of engineering were a very...
oops, replied to old post. please delete
Can they build those if they conquer a large city?
Yeah! And we also need a unit representing the inhabitants of a certain village in north western Gaul. It goes without saying that they need to have the best stats in the game and should be able to...
I think that the rest of India, and also America, should be present. It feels like wasted potential that the Pritanoi faction isn't able to create the British empire.
So I've looked all over the map searching for the lost city of Atlantis. But just like in real history, I haven't been able to find it. So good job, EB team, on hiding it so well!
This was just discussed a few threads down in this forum: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?760183-Spartan-Agoge . The trigger for starting the agoge is broken, but you can easily fix it....
Thanks Quintus! I misread the reform name in that piece of script. ThorakitaiReform is, of course, the second reform and not the first one. All normal then!
I only have poleis, and only in the two cities in Crimea. One minor and one medium.
I'm not too familiar with the scripting language but it does look like the requirenents for Thureopherontes...
As Bosporos, I didn't get access to any new units in my cities after the Hellenistic reform, except for Thureopherontes Hippotoxotai. Do you need the Military Settlers building to get units like...
Bump! This should work fine for 2.3 too!
Cool! Will the optional version of descr_character be updated if/when new 2.3 patches are released?
I've always found it difficult to immerse myself in vanilla M2TW or TW mods taking place in the medieval era. Medieval Europe was a place of small scale wars between states and civil wars between...
I know Augustan reforms are low priority, and you probably have a sketch of how they would occur. But here are some suggestions anyway :)
Changes to Marian era:
More instability caused by...
That is very weird. I haven't done any m2tw scripting, but those triggers should definitely fail if the battle was won. They're clearly not working as intended.
Is there some bug where checking...
And a Viking invasion from the north! Why aren't there any Vikings in this mod? I mean, Greece is in it and Vikings served as bodyguards for Greek kings. So where are the Viking bodyguard units?...
I noticed that the region capital of Sweden is called HleifPoz or something. Now, this is completely unrealistic. Not only have I never heard of HleifPoz, but on the map it is even located in...
Um, guys, this is a really old thread that you've resurrected. The submod was added to EB2 back in 2015:
Wow, that's a lot of updates! Thanks for pointing it out alex33!
Nice! Thank you!
Actually, it's "higher" and not "high" that is the setting directly below "highest". For whatever reason, setting "highest" in the in-game settings causes "higher" to be set...
Thanks for the reply! Is it intentional that traits/ancillaries affecting taxes/trade/farming etc are rare or are they on the to-do list? I personally don't know what effects individual governors...
Awesome!
On a similar note; I haven't been able to play any campaigns for that many turns for various reasons, but I get the impression that city income bonuses caused by governing FMs are often negligible....
That's great news, Kull! Have you removed the English voices that some units had as well?
I defeated all the starting Eleutheroi stacks in northern Italy on H/H by going on the offence, picking them off one by one through fighting night battles. It's not that hard to with one stack that...
I think the closest thing to a M&B EB is probably Hegemony 268 BC. Unfortunately it's completely dead, with the latest release being a beta in 2008. It could have been amazing if it had been...
But having low taxes can cause the ruling FM to get bad traits too, right?
EBII needs more of this: https://youtu.be/dsagRVAW38I. I mean come on, isn't this mod supposed to be historically correct?
I, for one, like that EBII offers such a different experience from other mods.
Beautiful!
Hijacking the thread to recommend another ancient place to visit in Italy; Paestum on the south-western mainland. It has three large and very well preserved ancient Greek temples...
I think most factions have neighbouring rebel provinces with rebel armies in them. Those armies are going to stand around by your borders and cause devastation, severely crippling your economy. So at...
Posted this in the FAQ thread, but realized it's better suited here:
Do the Marian reforms come with any changes in traits? If not, I think it would be interesting if the increased power of...
Do the Marian reforms come with any changes in traits? If not, I think it would be interesting if the increased power of individual generals post Marius was reflected somehow. Perhaps by means of...
Also, this music should play whenever you fight a siege battle in a desert town: https://youtu.be/JaPf-MRKITg
Any ETA for the inclusion of this settlement?

EDIT: On that note, here's some nice concept art to use for the design of the Celtic generals:

Thanks for the reply! Makes sense!
What is the motivation behind KH not being able to build poleis?
