  1. Re: [Britannia Expansion - Custom Submod] The Isles of Chaos (Roleplay Hotseat)

Apologies for the delay, my time here isn't really improving.

I digress. The Welsh State has made its contribution to the English Cause in food and resources, surely allevating some of their woes...

  4. Re: [AWARD] Van Zandt for Curia Service Award

It is difficult to elaborate on some of what I found questionable, since that material is generally behind closed doors.

  7. Re: [Britannia Expansion - Custom Submod] The Isles of Chaos (Roleplay Hotseat)

The Welsh State, seeing a clear period of stability its patron cannot quite compare to, has lended its support in stabilizing the English lands. King Vortipor sees no reason to undermine those who...
  8. Re: Round Table Discussion | Total War News

An interesting round table might integrate the TWC community itself. That might give it some relevance in this section.
  9. Re: [Britannia Expansion - Custom Submod] The Isles of Chaos (Roleplay Hotseat)

The plague dies down, and the people of Wales find themselves... much as they always were.

It is a curious state, however, when the countryside is much the same while the cities advance along a...
  10. Re: Total War: ELYSIUM, Free to play strategy card game for PC, Android and iOS

The forum isn't exactly helped with a pessimistic opening...

...but I can't honestly muster an ounce of optimism for a card game in total war branding. Separate teams or not, it's a division in...
  11. Re: When Will we get Lord of Rings Total war?

For a total war style it seems like the most potential is in all ages but third. Even a futuristic 'fourth age' lends itself to very strong background for the creatively minded.

[VOTE FINISHED: PASSED: IMPLEMENTED] Re: [AWARD] Akar for Asterix's Loincloth

In a more wholesome sense, there is an argument for Akar as much needed community glue; his initiatives and drive are something rare to come by these days. He provides cohesion. He dips into and...

  18. Re: [Britannia Expansion - Custom Submod] The Isles of Chaos (Roleplay Hotseat)

The Welsh State, oddly enough, has been able to preserve its administration well in these trying times. Even in the wake of the virus their attention towards outside contact is vigilant, and as such...

Akar has a legacy. Padding it out wouldn't hurt, but I'd call it rather strong as it is.

  34. Re: TWO MODS needed 'Pike and Shot' and 'Seven Years War' utilizing the LATEST TW games technology!

  35. Re: TWO MODS needed 'Pike and Shot' and 'Seven Years War' utilizing the LATEST TW games technology!

Ah, I underestimated how far Shogun 2 went. So if there's any modern TW game with the technology, it's that one.

Still, between effort and vastly reduced audience, I'd say the chance of the OP...
  36. Re: TWO MODS needed 'Pike and Shot' and 'Seven Years War' utilizing the LATEST TW games technology!

Shogun 2 isn't 'the same visual quality' necessarily either, and with the exception of fots is a completely inappropriate game to do that with. It's also so unapproachable (iirc) to map mod that...
  37. Re: TWO MODS needed 'Pike and Shot' and 'Seven Years War' utilizing the LATEST TW games technology!

The farther in the series you go, the worse the technology becomes for the goal you're suggesting. Better off biting the bullet and fenagling medieval 2 into shape.

I think it's safe to say if nobody's said anything about it in 11 years, it's not only dead, it's buried 18 feet under unless stated otherwise. It's happened from 2013, so hey, not impossible.

  40. Re: Medieval II - France Turn 25 and 50 Saved Games

I like this idea. I find extreme replayability in using the hotseat mode to throw the game out a few hundred turns in the future, then take control of one of the very unusual factions that result.
