Sticky: Re: Fans suggestion thread for future releases

I think that Hellenic Thureophoroi could use the free_upkeep_unit attribute. Effectively they're replacing Hemithorakitai and Hoplitai in the late game and the metioned units come with this...
  2. Re: What's your favorite "royal army" to build, and what is the lore/history behind it?

Well, it's a bummer with certain pre-reform units disappearing with no choice as the Hyperaspistai don't have a good Hellenic replacement. You get better defenses with the units you mentioned, but no...

    Re: Reputation, Relations & Diplomacy

From my observations, diplomacy remains functional up to the Hard campaign difficulty level as long as one can keep their reputation on the Reliable level. Looks like the relations with any other...
  5. Re: Epirote Dynastic Administration outside of Epirus and Greece?

Well, if Latins can't give me BP then Genuosion is going to stay a Hellenised backwater. I've no need for them if they can't return the investment.
  6. Re: Epirote Dynastic Administration outside of Epirus and Greece?

Is it possible to install a Basilike Patris in Rome, though? It'd be a nice crowning to my current campaign to eventually build it there after the place is properly hellenised.

Chainmail bikini amazons. Only recruitable for Sarmatians and Saka. Inspired by all the highly accurate amazon artwork.
  8. Re: What's your favorite "royal army" to build, and what is the lore/history behind it?

TBH the reform isn't changing much. The units that were useful before stay useful. Only the poor hemithorakitai are missed.
  9. Re: What's your favorite "royal army" to build, and what is the lore/history behind it?

They tend to lose their momentum after the initial javelin charge and the slow grind with the 0 lethality spears begins. Pontos fared against them the best because their AI loves their pantodapoi...
  10. Re: What's your favorite "royal army" to build, and what is the lore/history behind it?

The Genuosian model army, or what the then-humble Akarnian governor of the Greece, Illyria and Thracia used when the faction leader and the faction heir were gallivanting around the Italy (and later...

Bah. I murder everything unaffiliated appearing in my territories with a healthy dose of extremely extreme prejudice. It will not affect my campaigns much.
  12. Re: Another guess at the new potential factions

I don't know what they're smoking in the pixelated Roma, but I don't think I'll ever understand what their AI is doing in my campaigns. They prefer to expand deeper into Gaul, but they do try...

AI Sweboz is doing too well anyway so maybe more rebels will limit them a bit.

Here's hoping that usually slow Rome AI can survive the experience.
  14. Re: Another guess at the new potential factions

With the Roman AI it's a problem with their suicidal hate boner towards the Cisalpine provinces. They will ignore the Southern Italy and Sicily and will keep throwing their resources to the north no...
  15. Re: Another guess at the new potential factions

I know that Belgae are the most possible choice, but what's the fun of living in the Koinon Apeirotan without your charming Illyrian neigbours? Also, Illyria makes for a more "natural" faction to...
  16. Potential Successor on a Client Ruler character.

Did anyone try moving the Potential Successor ancillary to a character from the outside of the factional tree?

    Is this even possible?

  17. Re: Another guess at the new potential factions

Are there are any unused faction slots left, to begin with?

If yes, I think that Illyroi have enough going for them. They already have a complete factional roster and the elite sword-oriented...
