Agreed that Elvish pop growth is too high. I think it should be limited to .5% everywhere, with *maybe* 1% in one of the Greenwood settlements. As things stand, I only ever used Mannish units as...

I can't really agree that the Elves are 'horribly broken.' I think I won the last two campaigns I played. The units drain population, but it's easy to win your battles with almost no casualties so it...
Interesting. So it looks like you're retaining the four faction dynamic of the south as in DoM? In DoM, it's Harondor, Harad, Far Harad, Khand. Here in Wainriders it's looking like, Gondor, Umbar,...
I really enjoy how a lot of army lists in both FATW and WR have two very different cultures melded together. Trying to wield an army that is composed mostly of trash built around a small core of...
Mounted on a giant rhino, I assume.
Just out of curiosity, why are Axemen the Tier 1 (and thus most common) melee unit? I know there was one mention of Sindar with axes in the Silmarillion, but in the Hobbit, the only "units" mentioned...
Excellent. I have a RK campaign going right now in which my initial moves were to leave only the 3 Companies of the Guard in Minas Anor, build some ships and units, and then immediately pile two full...
Have you thought yet about the status of Edhellond? ~1850 would be little more than a century before its final abandonment, but theoretically it was still inhabited by Elves, yes?
Love the frequent updates. Do you know yet what the total faction count will be?
Yes, the lore is fuzzy and leaves plenty of wiggle room off on the edges of the 'known' world, and of course it's an approach the mod has taken before. In lore terms after all, it's highly...
Hmm my personal take has always been that any Avari by the Third Age have long been subsumed into the Silvan peoples of Lorien and Greenwood, but I trust you guys to make even the most thinly sourced...
Right. So I'm guessing Khazad, Erebor... Blue Mountains? Or were they too sparsely populated. For the Elves I suppose at 3 it'd be a straightforward Lindon/Rivendell, Lorien, Mirkwood. Also, love the...
So... 3 Dwarven and 4 Elvish factions then?
Excellent! I'm especially looking forward to seeing previews of the northern factions...
I did always enjoy factions with infantry bodyguards; feels like more of a challenge, and gives the army that slow moving battle line feel that is appropriate to so many factions.
What will Elven/Dwarven recruitment outside of their homelands look like?
Another great setting. Looking forward to it!
Take your time! DoM was well worth the wait, after all ;)
The sprite fix I stumbled across does completely eliminate the CTDs for me; you just edit the right file to render sprites all the time, and set unit detail down to High, as Highest does all renders...
Necroing the hell out of this thread, but trolls seem to crash my game instantly. The only solution has been to play on very low settings, but if I accidentally move within 3D render range while...
Fantastic. Let's see... Gondor and the Wainriders of course, with Gondor holding Umbar and part of Mordor. Elves and Dwarves, but no Erebor. No Dale, Rhovanion, or Dorwinion, or Tharbad. Haradrim in...
Delightful. I suppose depending on the start date, we could have Angmar or the three North kingdoms...
You guys just don't know how to quit! I love it. Question - am I correct in assuming that this mod will still feature the full map of ME?
Wainriders then?
First off, thank you so much for 3.4. I haven't played a whole lot yet, but so far am particularly appreciative of the changes to stone walls.
I have a couple custom settings I play the game with...
We never lost faith!
Excellent, thank you.
I already tried that, no luck...
Could somebody remind me how to recruit Crossbowmen as Dale? I have a 5th level Barracks and a siege workshop in Dale, but I can't remember what the next step is, and don't have an option to build a...
Great stuff, Count, thank you.
I also think it's worth the wait.
Thanks guys, this is great. I really loved OiM1 and had given up on finding a working version of this in English.
I had some initial trouble getting it to run - for me, the game was crashing after...
Thanks a lot, really appreciate your taking the time to do this. I'll check it out soon and report back.
I'd be very interested in your non mannish mod. I'm playing myself with non passive AI elves and dwarves, which I much prefer to vanilla fatw.
Are you guys going to get a front page announcement?
Hello, I haven't been around here in a little while, but I'm looking forward to 3.3. Thanks for continuing work on this fantastic mod.
Any chance of somewhat weaker non mannish factions in the future, Webba?
I personally see 1 drawback and 2 benefits to doing so. The drawback is that attacking these factions would pose less of a...
Thank you so much Webba. I know it may seem a little trivial to those who don't care about it one way or another, but it really boosts the immersion for me to have Adun be Cultic, especially when it...
So, tldr: how can you simply remove the ability for Adunabar (AI or human) to build WotW conversion buildings?
I would be interested myself. I assume we'd just have to have a backup default edb? Something along the lines of just editing the faction required to build ways of the west; would it be a simple...
