Yes, I did a clean install of Win10, so also a clean install of M2TW. I decided to uninstall box version and try my Steam version. SS 6.4 works no problem. So I will just stick with the Steam version.

Same is happening to me after going from win8.1 to win10. Worked fine before on 8.1. The mod works with 6.3, just not 6.4. Installs no problem with no errors. I also have no issues with Third...
Attila for me runs way worse with much lower settings than Rome II. It's why I still play Rome II much more. Seriously will they ever improve performance with a patch?
I play Rome II on all Ultra settings, SSAO off, MLAA on at 1080p and its pretty smooth. It has had 16 patches. Atilla on the other hand...even if I set it all to performance, I still get drops to...
The game is horribly optimized. The engine is outdated and sucks.

Even smallish battles, especially in cities, I average probably 40 FPS. This is with performance...
Running in window mode makes the campaign map way smoother for me, even though it's the same FPS. In battles really no difference. Is the same in Rome II for me as well.
It was delayed along with the Longbeard DLC until next week.
It's in the same spot as it was in Rome II, except you have to click on the little red + sign to expand it.
Please elaborate...
Better optimization performance wise via patches and drivers will make this game the best TW I have ever played. IMO. Also I want a Briton/Celts DLC. Want to play as the Picts!
Yeah that's what I assumed, but wasn't 100% sure. I agree, it's much better than Rome II.
I have noticed for some buildings, half the border is red, the other half green. Does this mean that building will benefit both military and agriculture?
It happens with 980's too so it isnt this issue. Its a bug in the game. Not a big deal though, even changing the script file to show 4GB makes no diff in performance.
It works fine for me, though it has a huge impact on FPS. Playing on an i5 4670k @4.2, GTX 970. I just stick with MLAA.
Geats and Ostrogoths.
Thats a micro atx board as well, and its B85. It's worse than the other one. If youre on a budget and cant spend more than $79 on a mobo, stick with that MSI one, should be fine.
It's a micro atx board, so its small. Make sure your case will fit it properly so the I/O ports line up correctly. Will do a decent enough job running your cpu and video card, don't expect to get any...
Disable SSAO. It really doesn't add all that much, you really can barely tell the difference with it on or off. Will increase FPS. Also...running the game on SSD only provides faster loading times,...
Get at least a good 600w power supply. I suggest Corsair. The new gtx 900 cards do use less power, though 450w is cutting it pretty close. I run an i5 4670k overclocked, and a gtx 970 also...
Really hoping for Briton/Celtic.
This isn't a CA issue, but a your PC issue.
With all due respect...you are trying to run a 4vs4 fully stacked out game on that CPU? Really? Just saying.

Game runs way better than Rome 2 for me. Playing at all Max Quality, except shadows to Quality, Particle to Quality, and Screen Space Reflections...
Not sure why so many are having issues. When it unlocked, 8 minutes of steam what have you, I'm playing and it's quite good.
They took out Veg Alpha from graphics options. Not that I ever had it on anyways. Campaign map is butter smooth, and lovely.
I'm not 100% sure on this, but I believe proximity fading is the fading of your troops as you zoom in/out. Screen Space Reflections is an HDR type effect I believe. Adds glints and things from...
Rome II is very decent now. Honestly though, I would wait for the Steam Winter sale.
Yet the dumbed down final release of Rome II ran like crap with good hardware. Still doesnt run all that well. Concern is warranted.
No my 760 runs it quite well. This is a cpu intensive game though, so that component is probably more important. I use an i5 4670k @ 4.2ghz. I love my 760, it is a beast of a card and cheap. Kills...
What did you get out of curiosity? I'm thinking of upgrading my gtx 760 and getting a gtx 970.
I don't have this problem on Empire, but with Napoleon, if I have HDR enabled, I get flashes of white squares of various sizes during battles. I've also noticed this during some Let's Play videos on...
Is it still recommended to play at medium battle setting with this?
Not sure there is a problem. That's just how it is. The trees and forests in this game arent that dense, so naturally you will see the smoke through the trees.
It doesnt happen when you turn off...
Thanks!!!!! :thumbsup2
I enable them via .ini because I prefer it. Is there a way possible to make them bigger?
I enable unit banners because I prefer it, though is there a way to make them bigger?
I actually don't mind the fonts, they just need to be bolder and more crisp.
Thanks! That worked :thumbsup2
I tried this, but it causes the game to crash after the opening cinematic.
