Re: Ladders and siege towers too small

Yup, definitely one bracket too many - must be titanium or RR\RC based as the repack hasn't got it.

    Re: Saxon namelist won't change

Yup, the default CFG file reverts manual entries. It's actually not advisable to mod in the original directory as you may eventually not remember what all you edited, plus the issue of the CFG file....

Please follow the instructions in the link step by step - it certainly works as I have used this method several times. The important step is to assign a settlement to the faction by simply moving an...

    Re: Saxon namelist won't change

I suppose you didn't set up vanilla to be modded, like enabling to read edited files? Save yourself all the hassle of doing so and install my mod setup and then mod in there and play there.
  5. Re: Deplenish values in descr_campaign_db.xml

I think deplenish is related to the refresh rate of pools, eg how fast a pool refreshes.
'initial' governs the initial pool when the building is constructed, I presume.
    add_disband true should add...

Re: Help to Make a Horde at Campaign Start

    Playable horde set up

Always make sure the faction's horde entry in descr_sm_factions has valid units in it.
  7. [Tutorial] Re: Creating a World - Importing units from another mod

Making a correct text description and other stuff:
    1. Find the unit in the mod's export_unit file (see underneath, I am assuming you have converted the STRING.BIN file to TXT), copy the entry into...

  10. Re: Mod Crashes When Using Higher Fidelity map_regions file

The 'error' banner on the mini map is the default radar map restriction. Nearly all maps have this removed by adding a line to the data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign\campaign_script.txt file....

    Re: Total War Rome: Remastered

Regarding an error log: how does that work?

    1. It's Feral - there is no log (see their Mac M2TW)
    2. It's the old way. If so, how? Using the dreaded steam launch option?
  12. Re: Rome Total War won't run anymore on Windows 7?

Intentional double post due to content:

I found this section in the Contents\Resources\specifications.xml file, I am assuming this is what stops 'lower' OS from working. While I think that is done...

    Glad you found the issue.

Re: Ladders and siege towers too small

The defense tower level is linked to the EDB afaik - maybe...

I have heard of the issue and I think it's 'hard coded' - a limit on how many slots can be utilized\displayed at once.

Re: Have Steam dumbed down the Alexander exe file?

Something is really wrong here: insert one of your new factions in front of that ownership line and see if the game recognizes it, eg no error regarding that faction.
    If that fails then simply...

Re: Have Steam dumbed down the Alexander exe file?

Re: Have Steam dumbed down the Alexander exe file?

Could be something wrong with the format of the descr_sm_factions file that prevents the game from reading it. Attach the file (no need for compressing, it's small) and let me have a look.

  27. Re: Question about Governor's influence on public order

A governor already has a (somewhat minor) basic influence on order. This then gets modified by some traits, ancillaries and attribute. This can be positive (eg chivalry as well as dread, curious as...

  32. Re: Rome Total War won't run anymore on Windows 7?
