    Before, the unit_variant column was actually using "name" column of the unit_variant tables. So it was possible to give the same name to several units, and they would all share the same colours.

    It was already possible to have two officers with different weapons and animation "visualy". The change is to add different weapon stats.
    Musician can also be added for a total of 4 "command staff"....

    The Elven colonies (Citadel of Dusk, Tor Elasor, Fortress of dawn) each have their own heraldic units in their starting position. So they can defend it a bit more easily, but it's hard to expand.

    - Each faction can recruit generic core units in any region, but they are a bit weaker, and have a global cpa.

    The big limitation to upgrade it is doesn't seem to have any linked visual. Not possible to add a shield to a unit for example.
