So before the patch it used to go from left to right on the map, now it's like....completely randomly ordered.
I'm talking about the left/right buttons in the lower left hand corner of the map...
I have this: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Profound/saved/2yDZ
As long as I have vegetation alpha off, everything runs about 50fps, with occasional drops down in to the high 30's. All other...
I've found that it's best to build a library in every province capital and work on the civil research chain for public order, as that gives you 9 public order, which is more than a grove of nymphs!

I've been looking for a guide for Rome for Auxiliaries. Where are the best Auxillaries that are actually better than Rome's Soldiers? The only one I've found so far are the Auxiliary Peltasts which...
Honestly, at this point I only recruit Praetorian guards. Frankly, I haven't figured out why I wouldn't recruit the most expensive units for the whole thing. Money in this game just comes too easily.
You have to have them walk in order to keep them concealed. There are big penalties for running in STW.
O_o; I have all the resources! And they have none. =( I haven't warred with them or anything. Maybe there's a "i won't help dominant faction no matter what" code.
So is there a special key to "force" someone to have a trade route? And yes, I am trying to get an economic victory. Is there a way to just... I dunno. Mod the game? Is there some way to find out why...
I am offering some of them over a million gold and I have relations +60, and still no trade route!!!
What is wrong with me!?
I just build one nymph temple. I find it's a lot easier to control public order with the amphitheater chain.
Speaking of missiles. I cannot for the life of me figure out what causes legiones to fire their pila.
I guess I don't understand how less defense and more armor actually makes them better:

For the same experience level, the Princeps seems to have better stats than the Legionnaires. Also, it appears the Triarius has a much higher defense than even the Praetorianus.
Just for the hell of it, this is as close as I can get (in the land of dollars):
It will probably run everything on ultra (extreme?). (Assuming you already have a 1080p...
I have a 4770K. I disabled hyperthreading and overclocked to 4.8ghz and the turn speed improved by at least 50% percent. AI time between turns is down to 2 minutes!!!!
What do you all think? Is it better to keep your Triarii and Principales around or upgrade them? (Assuming you have cash to spare and that you can't go back)
For like Triarii and Principes? I can see the hastati are definitively a win, but the Principes not so much. I think the Triarii are a big loss because their defense is super high.
So during the entire prologue and the first 10 or so turns, the end of turn (flipping through all the other factions) took 30 seconds tops. Then something happened and now it takes like 5 minutes to...
God, I loved shogun 1. I played it as long as I could. I wish they'd rerelease it but with the screen optimized for widescreen/ maybe some graphical updates.
http://software.intel.com/en-us/blogs/2013/03/27/cpu-texture-compositing-with-direct-resource-accessI have a 4770K, so I will check it out later.... especially if someone reminds me of how to run on...
