    On Medium campaign difficulty, AI factions do not hire mercenaries. It's basically a free resource pool for the player.

    That was a hardcoded element of the RTW engine, and it would be a terrible idea even if it were possible. The AI would depopulate all its settlements, they never stop recruiting.

    I don't think the script resets buildings it manages like this. That's why you need to be very careful where you build them.

    We already have access to a no-run-up javelin animation. The choice of the current one is deliberate; there's no way you could throw a javelin the ranges used from the shoulder alone.

    Armour upgrades of those units are impossible, mechanically. They wouldn't be any more armoured, but if they had an upgrade, their armour stat would go up.

    It's one long monitor, not multiple, so it shouldn't have a great impact. Again Lusitanio is the man with playtesting experience.

    I'm talking about the 2.35A patch, which is coming.

    2.4 will have many more changes, revamped and new factions, all sorts. There are activities which go into 2.4 which are underway.
