I think Rome 2 is at an acceptable state now, so I am happy to see them try and sell DLC. I would also be happy to see them announce a new total war game.

Is it pretty much a guarantee the next game will be early access?
Yeah, if you do a SP you have to be entertaining. Otherwise they just get incredibly boring (doesn't help that the game gets repetitive quickly) as you do the same thing over and over again.
If...
I think the graphics are okay (still has performance issues mind), although I would like more unique cities. That is actually my main complaint in regards to the battles. I enjoy the combat more in...
I want more city variation and unique capitals.
Is it me or are Pike units over powered? I slaughtered all the melee guys in Rome mainly with just 4 units of pike men. It was a cake walk to destroy Rome and her allies with Syracuse on normal...
How do I tell what season it is? Is there anything that tells us?
I had some fun with Caesar in Gaul. It is a decent game now, although still shallow.
I think we need more city variation. I go from city to city, and am sick of saying the same thing over and over.
I don't want another celtic DLC yet.
It does feel better, but the game is still unoptimized and laggy.
They should have really did the same deal as the last DLC. However this is a welcome and needed addition.
After a couple more patches I might start playing again.
Performance is fine, at least when you don't have too many units. Gameplay is still boring though.
I don't think there is any hope, at least for me finding much enjoyment. The game is buggy, and just too shallow. And you don't even have good combat to mask those bad things. Europa Universalis just...
The problem is they stabbed their loyal fan base in the backs. They knew the game had issues, but released it anyway. Would it have been so hard to say, "This game isn't finished yet, so we are...
It basically needs a complete overhaul to eliminate the boredom factor. Hopefully after a few months the battles will at least be fun.
I agree with you, but I have only spent a few hours on it. I can't really put my finger on the exact reason.
The statement is good to hear, as long as they follow through with it. An open beta for the next TW game would help it a lot.
I did the exact same thing. These were just a stupid idea, they should only be used for battles involving ships.
I haven't had a single problem apart from choppy frame rates, even the CPU turns don't go on for that long. The game is missing something though, all I do is go from region to region attacking.
I wish I had this problem, hilarious stuff.
Yeah, my slingers are conquering the world atm.
Excellent news.
There is something off about Rome 2. It just isn't sucking me in, and I can't figure out why.
I agree. ATM I am too busy trying to figure out the UI to get attached to my generals. I can barely even find them on the campaign map!
1. Battle Speed. They are too fast. Maybe just raise the HP or something. (Also I need the guard mode)
2. CPU turns take too long, and coupled with the 1tpy makes my turns seem very short and...
It is exactly what I thought it would be. A solid 8 once they sort out some bugs.
You won't even be able to install it without a connection.
Yeah, there is a day one patch. Which sucks for people like me, but oh well. It shouldn't be too big.
Because "America! Yeah!"
You shouldn't be able to resist that.
Hopefully not too big. Anything over a GB will be annoying for me.
I would have to do something like this wouldn't I?

Does anyone have one, and play Shogun 2 etc on it? Is the technique in the above link what you had to do?
This SSD thing, how does it work?
I am thinking of getting this one

Now I know the idea is you...
My two week university holiday has just started, if it makes you feel any better.
Nah, I will probably stop at like 2am. These games are addictive.
You would get it faster, but I expect most of the people buying the physical copy are people with crap internet. Like me.
Have they said if there is a day 1 patch for us box copy owners?
18gb still is huge.
Also a guy in the comments said this;
"Can't wait for this game. Too bad its not unlocked until 6am Wednesday, damn Americans".
That sucks if you get it Tuesday morning, I will get it at night...
I wish they sent them out early, I always hear of UK ones doing that. Mightyape is great though.
I don't think it will get anything lower than 8.
